  • little green doctors pounding on his back? This guy needs a senile test.

  • How does a mental midget of this caliber get elected? Something is seriously wrong when a lunatic like this is elected.

  • nice tom waits reference :)

  • I love Tom Waits. And a couple days ago I was looking at a ton of Tom Waits videos and appearances on Letterman. But if there is a Waits reference it was unintentional- or at least subconscious. By the way, if you like Tom Waits check out some of those Letterman appearances. Funny stuff.

Dude, I just watched your video "her song". Awesome. You come across as some crazy southern, evangelical preacher. Are you familiar with Mojo Nixon? Or Hank Williams III? You'd make a great hellbilly artist.

  • fancy farm is a county picnic in kentucky which serves as a sort of state political convention. the "green doctors" bunning referrs to were his democrat opponent's libtard supporters who got out of control and were pushing he and his wife around and interfereing with a live interview he was conducting.

  • Sounds like Kentucky's got some solid LSD. I'm on my way...

  • WTF? This dude is a senator? Little Green Doctors on his back? This guy is insane.

  • Little green doctors from outerspace! The GOP (Grope Our Pages) goofballs get crazier and crazier.

  • Hmm, you are the one who added 'from outer space'. That makes _you_ the crazy one :).

  • Senator Jim Bunning was referring to supporters of his oppnonent wearing green scrubs.

Do a Google search on "Bunning won't back down on Iraq, but won't go to Fancy Farm."

I don't want The Left to use a misleading clip like The Right used a misleading Kerry joke clip at YouTube.

  • the kerry "joke" issue was not misleading. it proceeded from the plain meaning of his words which expressed sentiments commonly shared by progressives. the liberal blogger who first reported on the speech at 1:30 in the morning having heard the entire presentation in context interpreted it exactl7y as it was recieved by members of the military with the sole difference that she praised kerry for having the "bravery" to speak the "truth".

  • the notion that what kerry said was a "botched joke" aimed at the president was a cynical spin which strains credulity. the kerry camp desperately released in succession three diffferent versions of the "original" notes for the speech. here's a revealing comparison of the first "original" and what he actually said:

  • You know that John Kerry served in the military and has been a champion of veteran's issues, right?

  • um no. i'm aware that he served and then subsequently renounced his service, joined a radical group who's executive officer was shown to have been a fake vet, and proceeded to accuse his fellow service members of war crimes. but progressives don't really care whether he served or not. gooogle william arkin, "the troops also need to support the american people" or review the recent incident in which a soldier trying to defend his service was shouted down and threated with legal action at ykos.

  • google "who served".

the unserving right only support the troops as political props. the record is clear to anyone that can read a newspaper. wingnuts only love the troops when they make dear leader and 5 deferments cheney look good. as soon as any soldier or veteran points out what a disaster the wars have been THANKS TO BUSHCO's criminal incompetence, out come the knives and the lying rightwing smear machine.

  • when you watch the next gop debate, you'll be looking at more people with military service in their backgrounds than there is amongst the democrat candidates.

  • the "who served" document cherrypicks 27 democrats and 36 republicans and gives similar sevice between them imballanced weight. for instance, dick gepphardt is cited as having served in the air national guard just as president bush had, yet bush is identified simply as having "avoided service."

  • further, many of the democrats cited are "blue dogs" of the sort whom the radical progressive democrat party base seek to eliminate, so it is disingenuous for an antiwar progressiev to cte them as being on their side. the democrat party has a legacy of strong defence - most of the wars our bnation has fought were entered into by democrat administrations, after all. unfortunately, that legacy of service is receeding.

  • the "who served doocument" is a useless piece of agitprop which demonstrates nothing.

  • If you want to use a blogger to make a point, it's preferable to have a name and a url. Anyway, the public should have been able to listen to all of Kerry's speech and judged for ourselves.

  • pam leavy, blogging at thedemocraticdaily bout 12 hours before conservatives or military members even heard about it:

    blog(doot)thedemocraticdaily(dot)com/?p=4598

  • i should also point out that the above sort of propaganda tactic is common on the left and exceedingly rare from the right. in fact, i'd like to have someone produce for me an example of the latter.

  • Watch CSPAN sometime.

  • Could you provide the source for this? I presume it was a call-in show of some sort. That would be great to know...

  • If you let the audio continue, would we have learned what he meant?

  • yes. see my comment below.

  • 'Cause there's a red, under my bed

And there's a little green doctors in my head

And there's a true blue inside of me

That keeps stoppin' me, touchin' ya, watchin' ya, lovin' ya
