@tpvalley Thank you for your comment. The injection pump paremeters are made by many experiments,
because you can not scale down the injection pump system from a " big " engine to a small engine. The only way to overfuel the engine is to use the injection pump handle, and with no engine load it will at first smoke a bit
I'm really a fan of your wonderful work, i know how much work it is already to make a machine out of castings, but what you do is the work of a genius. I hope you will be able to do this work along time further on....

@valic000 Thank you for your fine comment. I never count the time it take to build an
engine, but it takes a very long time, especially if it is a quit new model.

I wish Dodge, Ford, and GM could get their diesel pickups to run with so little smoke!
Beautiful workmanship!!!!

@upski its all in how you run it.
SolusKrieger 2 months ago
@upski if they ran on turpentine as well, they would smoke less too.. it's the dirty fuel. still, this model engine is a fantastic achievement.

@boksermotor How does the fuel system operate? You said it had a pump, but what about nozzles? How did you make the orifices for the nozzles?
thanks

how do u work out the injection pump parametres; what happens if u massively overfuel them do they just stall or smoke?

andy26111 1 year ago
@andy26111 Thank you for your comment, but I do not understand the meaning?
boksermotor 1 year ago
@boksermotor have it at full rpm ware the govener balls are fully extended outward
andy26111 1 year ago
@andy26111 Yes you are right, and on my hot bulb engines I have a spring conected to flyball governor, to
atjust the engine speed, the stronger spring, the more speed etc.

Who made the castings?
1stMrSceptical 1 year ago
@1stMrSceptical Thank you fore your fine comments, none of my engines are made from castings but constructed or fabricated of my own design by me.
f my own idea by me

Could you run this on lamp oil, or would it be too viscous?
douro20 1 year ago
@douro 20 Thank you for your comment.
The engine could run on lamp oil or kerosene, but turpentine has a very god and clean combustion with very little smoke. I use 1% two stroke oil in the fuel to
lubricate the fuel pump and the injector.

Butane start, turpentine run...
this could very well be the smallest running solid-injection hot-bulb engine in the world.
douro20 1 year ago
@douro20 Than you for your comment.
Perhaps it is the smallest. I would pleased to hear from some one, who have
built a hot bulb model engine, or have knowledge of one.
