CINN,the ways this technique is practical and viable are virtually limitless. I used it after some guy tried to grab my backpack from the seat I placed it in,I used the downward forearm smash block and he punched at my head.I blocked again,he grabbed,I kneed him and only got to the rising elbow of GIFT before he was done. My biggest concern is that blocking the surefire straight left that follows his wrist grab and working both sides should be incorporated
CINN...sucker punching a guy off a handshake is extremely well known. Second, the attacker's hand and/or wrist grab is usually what happens when he's trying to take something from you or prevent you from grabbing something that he may be trying to take or hold onto, you could be a woman walking away from a man accosting you and he grabs your wrist to stop you, etc.Wrestler's call this grab a "tie". You could block his punch and he grabs your blocking limb...
Nice grafting of the techniques! That's the chart, I am currently learning. I learned "Gift of Destiny" with a wrist crank, b4 striking the plexus. In your technique are you striking the radial never 1st? I wondering...If it would be self defeating, to strike the radial never and then crane hook inside the elbow drive the flapping elbow into the plexus? what is ya opinion?
Tim is verrry practical. How come I see most other Kenpo Instructor's still stuck in time. They'll have students leave there arm out n' stuff. Punches don't recoil like a real fighters' would. Are they "trying to be" Ed Parker? To me, if your practical, then you can fight. Other instructors need to look at Tim!
Sin duda, lo mejor que tiene el Kenpo Karate es la forma en que se aprende a sacar golpes de cualquier posición
