Ben hinted to us a few episodes back that Locke couldn't have resurrected. He said: "Dead is dead. You don't get to come back from that."

But even knowing this, Locke being in the box still wasn't obvious.

well for me the main reason is we never actually saw the resurrection, we just assumed and locke saying he wants to kill jacob, i doubt the real locke would ever say that even though he did try to kill naomi. smaller points are we never saw alex and locke on screen at the same time. never saw locke and christian on screen at the same time (we did before locke died, but not after). plus when ben said "i can't control what's about to come out of that jungle", meaning smokey, then locke appears.

Well yes, the Smokey version of Alex said in no uncertain terms that ben had to do exactly what "Locke" told him to do or he would be hunted down and destroyed. I'm just not sure yet wether MiB (man in black) is smokey or just his master.

Maybe Alex wasn't smokey, maybe it was MiB. maybe MiB was also christian, Ecko and every other dead person that has appeared. Maybe smokey can't actually manifest itself as a human and is always smoke, so we haven't seen it as many times as we previously thought. Maybe Jacob's Cabin is actually MiB's cabin. We will see in 8 months i suppose.

I think the man sitting next to jacob in the begining is really locke after he's ressurected because in the begining he says to jacob that he will kill him "when he finds a loophole" and when "locke" goes to kill jacob at the end jacob says to him "looks like you found your loophole" What do you think?

I think the loophole is that man in black can't kill jacob himself, so he found a way for someone else to do it. he physically can't or he would have done it many many years ago, then the show never would have happened.

No, the idea was that Locke is DEAD after all since his body was in the crate. Therefore the Locke who we thought was resurrected is really the man who wanted to kill Jacob and finally found a way to do it after the fligh 316 crashed.

Jacob gets killed, Locke is DEAD. The one who seems to be alive is another person who, like Jacob, arrived at the island a couple 100 years ago, Juliette (who didn't die when she fell) makes the bomb goes of in the very last scene which leads to the big cliffhanger ending...

Boom, there off the island that was the whole point of the damn show. I hope they reveal that John Locke is Jacob. That's why nobody sees Jacob, because it's a demigod Locke who works through time travel.

Yeah, I predict that Richard is saying that to Ben. After watching Follow the Leader it definitely seems like Richard isnt happy with Locke, and his comment to Ben where he says Locke is trouble definitely suggests he plans to do something about him.

I think what the guy meant by Smokey is Locke is... after John died it's Smokey inhabiting his body. Not that I really agree with that theory, but it is being fueled by fact that after Locke's resurrection Smokey and Locke have conveniently avoided each other. Coincidence? Maybe.. maybe not.
