Although he was a villain in movies, he was always a great gentleman in real life. We love you Amrish Puri saab. You were arguably the greatest villain during my lifetime. No one can replace you from top spot in my list.
i still remmember his role in film Waaris..!! i saw this movie in my school days...now my childrens r going school but i still remmember Amrish sahab's performance in this movie...i still remmember this movie only for Amrish sahab's brilliant performNCE.if anybody have this movie plz upload here
Amrishji is one of those actors whose every face expression on the screen was like telling this is what is acting. Hates off to such a iconic actor whose death is an irreplaceable loss to the field of acting. Many so called bollywood stars can be easily replaced but not actor par excellence Amrishji, I wud say one actor in the list of great actors like naseer saab, ompuri etc is missing. Long live Amrishji!
He was awsome in indiana jones and the temple of doom.speilberg and lucas were very impressed with his performance.all round great actor and lovelly person.had the privilage of meeting him few times.he will be missed.
One of the finest actors EVER to come out of Bollywood. What a voice this guy had and what on screen presence. A master of his trade and he was just as famous as any protagonist in a film as normally in Hindi movies bad guy doesn't get same limelight as the hero of a film.
it's already 5 years you leaves us...however we still miss u very2 much amrishji..nobody in Bollywood industry can replace you....may your soul rest in peace...
he died thousand times in movie but i never felt so bad as today, what a wonderful actor he was amrish puri iam one of your biggest fan here in pakistan...............love u
amrshi puri jis last few films used to be so funny his going to be missed very much wen these actors die u jus think wats going to happen in the film indsry no one can eva replc them neva eva
I cant believe he died in 2005 I didnt find out until I think two years ago.. i thought he was incredible.. and very adorable after DDLJ especially... miss him..
damn d media, journalists n reporters r sooooo heartless!!
propa followin al d ova celebs 2 d cars n takin pics in tms of sorrows recordin d fing is bad as it is !! bt chasin ppl 2 dr cars wen dr nt in d mooood !!?????
True talent he was. He went so easily from villain roles to emotional roles. I will always remember how much I loved him in Dilwale Dulhania Le Jayege. That line when he says to Kajol "ja, jee le apnee zindagi" has forever remained with me, such a touching moment.
I think he was taken for granted as a dependable and great actor. He was by no means underrated during the late 80's and 90's.He used to charge higher fees than the hero of the movie something that is unthinkable. He was an absolute phenomena in those years. There were sections of people who used to go to the cinema hall just to see Amrish Puri. That really is a testimony to his great acting prowess.
Amrish Puri R.I.P everytime i wacth a movie that has amrish puri i get very emotional, as i grew up seeing him in almost all the movies, eventhough he was a vilon in most of them. it s proper sad
He was perhaps the only actor who was never overshadowed by any hero in any of the movies be it with Amitabh,Anil kapoor or SRK.He demanded the same amount of attention.Best examples are Virasat and Phool Aur Kaante where he was literally Marlon brando of Godfather.Outstanding Actor.
any actor in the industry have never overshadowed amrish puri when it comes to dialogue delivery he gets the same footage as the leading actor, perhaps my favorite perofmrnace of amrish puri is in the movie ghatak hile he says the dialogue about sunny deol chaar aadmiyon ki zarurat nahin hai mujhe akela kaashi hi kaafi hai mujhe kandha dene ke liyee
thx buddy for this nice video n the song was great.. may he rest in peace he was a super hero and we were almost used to see him in most of bollywood superhits, as a cruel villain, as a simple and kind hearted father.. as an enemy, as a friend.. bollywood's first villain face .. RIP Amrish Ji
Amrish ji was a great actor, first half of his career he played villian roles and then 2nd half of his career he played a father, a police officer, a good person and showed his gentle side as an actor, a decent human being, will miss him greatly, may his soul rest in peace.
Molaram, Mogambo, Takur Ragvir Singh. Man how I loved his villain roles, him coming on horseback as daku, in Kohraam/Dharam Sanakat etc. Man what an actor.
ive never seen any of his india stuff, i, like many, have only seen him in temple of doom and that must have been one of his greatest performances for sure. rest in peace!
can't believe he died, i watched temple of doom cos of him, great actor, a legend and a credit to indian flim, rest in peace, Amrish, God will take care of you now x
i know he was amazing, he was offered to become a hollywood star after temple of doom bt he said no, because he wanted to stay to true to his roots, a true hero of mine and it's so nice that he didn't abuse the part that made him a star all around the world by becoming hollywood property, greatly missed
@Pixiebabylove If he wanted to remain true to his roots, why did he act in that awful movie? He may have been a good actor, but, it saddens me that he acted in a movie that portrayed Indian culture and Hinduism in such a cruel way.
@123doomdoom You know what? Don't even talk to me. You're a fucking dumb ass! That movie was set in India. And yes it was a terrible movie because of the way it portrayed the Indian people and culture. Lastly, if you can't say anything kind don't talk at all! and I am entitled to my oppinions, kapeesh?!
@skanthavelu Well there are tribal and primitive tribes everywhere in 3rd world countries who are brain washed by gods and deities. you are clearly missing the point.
True legend who is missed alot. I remenber reading a article around the time of when he was in hospital and it said that the only person from the film industry who had come to visit him in hospital was Nana Patekar.
