Well I just got a reply back from a rep at Pypes exhaust. He said the reason they list it for 98-04 is because the mid pype hangers where it connects to the crossmember are different on 94-97. He said the pipe hangers are spaced much further apart on the 98 and up.
Sounds good. I wanted to know if Pypes O/R X-pipe would fit on my 96 3.8. They list it as 99-04 on their site. No mention of 94-98.

get a dual exhaust with flows/ne gt exhaust should work on ur v6 if u have a x pipe/i would not get magnaflows/after u get everything i'd go to a muffler shop and have everything put on...but some muffler shops wont put a x-pipe on if theres no cats on the new x..and some shops wont take the old cats off...jus gotta check and find the right one

yea the x-pipe made a huge difference in sound i love the way it sounds..came from american muscle....i reccomend getting pypes.. 1. cuz they dont cost as much as the others and 2. cuz the other ones ive heard make em sound kinda ricie

They will fit. I checked Pypes website. Their product code is XFM19. It fits 96-04 V6 Mustangs.
