Your torso and lower half of face/chin is just lovely. Added a super nice touch to this vid! Oh yea, did I mention the bow you made is great too? Cuz that's kinda important. Yea... the bow... awesome :D
oh i get it, it looks like you are painting the glue onto the masking tape but its actually the fiberglass with the tape on the other side. anyone know where to get fiber glass strips like that?
@fox123456789ish depends on how easly yoU want it to be. iv made some that costs me 10$ for the materials and some that cost me 75. just depends on the tools you want to used and it depends on the types of wood you use and if you use fiberglass etc..
Do you use glue or epoxy and what brand do you prefer? Do you have to use heat to cure the adhesive you use or does heating it just speed up the process? Do you use a jig to taper the individual layers?
I noticed that there has been no response so I can tell you the epoxy I use.. I use smooth-on EA40. It is a two part epoxy and yes the heat speeds the process up. You can cut a 24hr process(depending on the outside temp) down to 6hrs. Hope this helps
Where can u buy a heat box, and wht do heatboxes do, and wht are the thin pieces of wood called , and wht did u wrap them in? If any one coukd answer my question tht would be nice
@smchapp Just curious, how do you get them down as thin as they need to be? on a jointer? (is it safe to thin material that thin on a jointer - for example if you wanted to use two tapered layers for the core at 2/25 each for making a youth bow?)
would the limbs that you made be good for a take down recurve bow???
would be very grateful if any one could reply
