  • Awesome listening pleasure.

  • That's some fine picking.

  • Fantastic listenin'!

  • Wow that certainly is some sweet playin!

  • does anyone have Sylvester Weaver's Guitar Blues B/W Guitar Rag from 1923?

  • You are correct. The second player accompanying Weaver is Walter Beasley.

If you are interested this was recorded in 1927 on OKeh Records number 8530. The flip side was 'St Louis Blues'.

This is one of the legendary OKeh Race 8000 Series which featured some of the great blues and black jazz of the era.

  • There are two guitar players here; it sounds to me like only one of them is playing slide. Does anyone know who is doing what?

  • @JohnMalcolm I'm no expert, but I believe Mr. Weaver is playing lead, and Mr. Beasley is playing accompaniment, although it does sound like they trade off a few times.

  • Can't play it loud enough!

  • This is one of the great blues guitar pieces by a master. What happened to the ending?

  • i like just listening to music like this, its just whatever you want it to be.

  • very similar to KC Moan. good stuff
