Man... i play misralu/surfin&rockin mix all day on my guitar...
i love those tunes... the sound the atmosphere... it's goddamn timeless.
I'm happy to find people who share the same music style, anyway my playing really sucks compared to yours, very good job there, i randomly got to you video from a dick dale search and i really enjoyed it... ROCK ON.
Just a lil critic... you've abused the bass slide a little bit, that's the only thing i'd tell ya... overall absolutely perfect.
What amp? Get yourself a nice Fender, and add a reverb tank. Or you can use the amp's reverb. But if you want Dick Dale reverb built in. The Deluxe/Twin/and Super Reverb's are the closest to a tank unit. Ur using a G &L?
I'm impressed. You've definitely got your fast tremolo on the low string perfected. Some sections need refinement but hey... there's always room for improvement. What gauge of strings and pick are you using?
Awesome. It's great to see Dick Dale fans play his music. Off with the distortion, on with the reverb. That'd be sweet if you could show me some of those tricks.
Thanks for watching man! I've become a huge Dick Dale fan over the last few years and I love the feeling I get when I'm jamming out to his music. I hope that I get to see him play live one of these days!
Pretty close to his tone. What you really need is a Strat with '54 Custom pickups and a rosewood fretboard, two Fender Dual Showman amps, and a reverb unit from a Hammond organ.
Oh yeah, all that and huge auditorium to blare it all out in! I did try the '54 Custom pickups before and I just like the Fralins better. The '54s are pretty good sounding though.

another thing to remember is that Dick almost always picks at or past the bridge pickup, which gives an even brighter sound then usual.
