  • The Mother-of-All-Zombie movies...which is interesting...cuz not once is the word "zombie" uttered in the movie...I've met most of the players from the film...including George A. Romero...STILL one of the most terrifying films ever made...

  • @tequilajoe11 That's cause Romero didn't call them zombies - he referred to them as "flesh-eaters" when he talked about this movie. It wasn't until some guy got rights to have the second of Romero's movies played in Europe did the guy call the movie "Zombi". It stuck ever since. It's in the book called Everything You Need to Know About Zombies.

  • I like this blonde. She's very ladylike, and she has a cute Jewish nose and a nerdy Catholic-school-girl aura, which is very sexy.

  • wheres the dim the lights option? aw...only on the movie youtube =(

  • THE BEST ZOMBIE MOVIE EVER MADE. i can't get over how classic this movie is.

  • I want a remake with big stars. Who would you pick? Barbara - Jen Aniston Johnny - Jack McBrayer Ben - Denzel Tom - Matt LeBlanc Judy - Claudia Schiffer Helen - Julia Roberts Harry - Jason Alexander Karen - Jennette McCurdy 'Chilly Billy' - Matthew Perry Conan - Jeffrey Dean Morgan and for the 'head' zombie...a.k.a. Bill Hinzman - Jerry Seinfeld.
  • lucky it's an old film, or else she'd be too fat to run!

  • This was a great movie & even in the "color"-ized broadcasts, I still take all the color out of the TV. I saw this after seeing the knock-off: Children Shouldn't Play With Dead Things (B-movie, garbage). This is a far superior film to that one.

  • wow .. 1960's horror movie .. kinda gave me creeps .. hahaha nice ... :)

  • they said people were outraged at the similarites of the vietnam war...what similarites?

  • johnny wasn't much of a fighter ?

  • was that guy a zombie or was that like the beginning stages of the disease cause he is rly smart

  • Kinda like the Twilight Zone in that spooky black and white.

  • there coming to get u barbara!!!

  • The B&W ......'Genre'.....makes this film the scariest ever made.

I dare you to watch it .....alone......in a secluded farmhouse....at night.

  • @strombeldenbar wtf are you trying to make ppl have a heart attack???? jeez. fuck that!

  • Comment removed

  • @strombeldenbar lmao why does it have to be a farm house lmao

  • @strombeldenbar dude i get creeped out watching it where i live now .. it don't help i'm less then 2 hours from where it was filmed

  • @joeytrimble That is cool biz! ...your location, I mean.

I understand that the farmhouse is long since gone....and the cemetery has changed quite a bit.

  • i think the girl that played on this movie played of a original three stooges movie called 4 for Texas

  • They shouldn't have made a remake

  • heh i thought for sure that the bitch was screwed

  • now this here is good cinema :D

  • Start the damn car!!

  • I only dont understand one thing,

its 1968!!! why the Quality is so bad, and why its black and white?

Snow White from 1937 was even in Color!

but this movie is the most Original Zombie movie, because it was the first, to gives this Idea,

all the other Zombie movie are just copieng

  • @jaguar4u2 Uh, if your still wondering.

The B&W is too give it a more scary feeling. Plus it's on youtube, so they downgrade the quality a bit. =P

And Snow White was a cartoon. Not a live action movie. =)

That's why it was in color.

  • @SamND1967

but still, Colorized movies were made even in the 50's

not to mention colorized videos from WW2

but if you say its to make it more scary, well...

    its the directors choice then

  • @jaguar4u2 Well, I forgot to add, it was the directors coice to make it B&W.

  • @jaguar4u2 "Colorized" is not the same as "color". Color films and photographs have been produced for at least 100 years, but the cost of printing color film was prohibitive, so for all the early decades its use was usually sparing. Nonetheless, by 1968 many films, perhaps a majority, were shot in color, but, hardly all. The "director's choice" may have been more related to budget than any aesthetic... if so, a happy circumstance - and that includes the previously used "library" music...

  • Haha, wow... I see some elements in this movie that today's horror movies are still borrowing, such as the girl being freaked out and the guy just making it worse, and the girl falling down and losing a shoe... It does seem pretty good so far

  • My Memorial Day tradition . . .

  • The girl actor is pretty good here...

  • I'm actually writing an analysis paper over this movie. I don't own a copy so I've got to watch it part by part on here. It is a pretty good movie though.

  • the funny thing about this is they could have done this in color but chose not too and thats great i wouldnt think of this movie any other way i told my grandfather im a og of zombie movies and he remembers watching this in a drive in or what ever so i shut up lol

  • thank you man! anyone watched the amc marathon on halloween?

  • They just had it on yesterday too. Great movie.

  • what is good is at the beginning u no its a zombie movie and it starts in a graveyard and a car with a dead person in it

  • I own the movie on both VHS and DVD. Despite its age, it is still one of the alltime horror greats. It scared me the first time I saw it on TV.

    Ken Palmer

  • @kenpalmer1965 if you have it on both DVD NS VHS why are you watching it hear

  • @THEHAPPYGINGERKID lol i told em da exact same thing rite now , then rite after i saw ur comment which made me laugh

  • @Ralvarez559 lol

  • @kenpalmer1965 if u have it on vhs and dvd , y r u watchin it on youtube ?

  • @Ralvarez559 I entered the name of the film in the search box just to see what would come up. When I saw the clips, I couldn't help but to watch it and post a comment on it.

  • dude man this crap is freaking insane dude to think of this back then in 1968 with all the hippy stufff man this was insane reminds me of sabbath for some reason but wow love it and dawn was amazing too

  • The black-and-white quality gives this film a sorta spooky atmosphere.

  • Yeah, it gives a kinda eerie and foreboding feeling :P First time watching it, already in love

  • @Chutultu

yeah tru sumthin fell out my butt :)

  • I heard that this movie was the first zombie flesh eating movie (cause i know there was zombie movies before but not flesh eating zombies) is this true?

  • OmFg it's old as hell.nice movie

  • I'm gonna see this film though I'm sure I won't be scared watching this, because this is the classic one and every horror-lover must know this.

  • Such a great movie. I'm definitely going to watch this on DVD again.

  • there's just no quit in those zombies

  • they're coming to get you barbara!
