correct me if im wrong, but isn't this the first zombie movie ever made?and also this is like an instant classic so the 5 who disliked r watching the wrong movie, who doesnt like zombie movies, even the cheesy ones.
I love this stuff. This is the best ones cus they don't run like the ones now days. Fake lol. But I love to sleep and have dreams. About. Zombies. Its like a bad drug to me to have tham I love it. Look here comes one now. Off to bad. And hope to have some. Ps. I fucking love to have tham
The Mother-of-All-Zombie movies...which is interesting...cuz not once is the word "zombie" uttered in the movie...I've met most of the players from the film...including George A. Romero...STILL one of the most terrifying films ever made...
@tequilajoe11 That's cause Romero didn't call them zombies - he referred to them as "flesh-eaters" when he talked about this movie. It wasn't until some guy got rights to have the second of Romero's movies played in Europe did the guy call the movie "Zombi". It stuck ever since. It's in the book called Everything You Need to Know About Zombies.
i was so scared becuse of this film when i was home alone i would lock all the doors not answer the doors for anyone lock the windows and tape a knife to a bee bee gun like a was a soldier
untill this movie was made zombes road unicycles and had swords this movie made zombies blood thirsty killers who eat brains who don't take orders from no one

Yaas. 1 of da 1st n best zombie films ever made. Fukn luv this film. Possibly 1 of da best horror films ever made. Creepy as hell n kicks ass. The black n white only adds more atmosphere to it. Hope a zombie apocalypse happens. I'l be ready for those snot brained bastards. If you haven't seen this film, then get wit da program juniour. This film should be viewed in schools as part of your education. If your a horror fan n u aint seen it, then i hope bagpuss cums 2 ur house n fuks it up
I want a remake with big stars. Who would you pick? Barbara - Jen Aniston Johnny - Jack McBrayer Ben - Denzel Tom - Matt LeBlanc Judy - Claudia Schiffer Helen - Julia Roberts Harry - Jason Alexander Karen - Jennette McCurdy 'Chilly Billy' - Matthew Perry Conan - Jeffrey Dean Morgan and for the 'head' zombie...a.k.a. Bill Hinzman - Jerry Seinfeld.
This was a great movie & even in the "color"-ized broadcasts, I still take all the color out of the TV. I saw this after seeing the knock-off: Children Shouldn't Play With Dead Things (B-movie, garbage). This is a far superior film to that one.
@jaguar4u2 "Colorized" is not the same as "color". Color films and photographs have been produced for at least 100 years, but the cost of printing color film was prohibitive, so for all the early decades its use was usually sparing. Nonetheless, by 1968 many films, perhaps a majority, were shot in color, but, hardly all. The "director's choice" may have been more related to budget than any aesthetic... if so, a happy circumstance - and that includes the previously used "library" music...
Haha, wow... I see some elements in this movie that today's horror movies are still borrowing, such as the girl being freaked out and the guy just making it worse, and the girl falling down and losing a shoe... It does seem pretty good so far
I'm actually writing an analysis paper over this movie. I don't own a copy so I've got to watch it part by part on here. It is a pretty good movie though.
the funny thing about this is they could have done this in color but chose not too and thats great i wouldnt think of this movie any other way i told my grandfather im a og of zombie movies and he remembers watching this in a drive in or what ever so i shut up lol
@Ralvarez559 I entered the name of the film in the search box just to see what would come up. When I saw the clips, I couldn't help but to watch it and post a comment on it.

I only dont understand one thing,
its 1968!!! why the Quality is so bad, and why its black and white?
Snow White from 1937 was even in Color!
but this movie is the most Original Zombie movie, because it was the first, to gives this Idea,
all the other Zombie movie are just copieng
jaguar4u2 1 year ago
@jaguar4u2 Uh, if your still wondering.
The B&W is too give it a more scary feeling. Plus it's on youtube, so they downgrade the quality a bit. =P
And Snow White was a cartoon. Not a live action movie. =)
That's why it was in color.
SamND1967 1 year ago
@SamND1967
but still, Colorized movies were made even in the 50's
not to mention colorized videos from WW2
but if you say its to make it more scary, well...
its the directors choice then
jaguar4u2 1 year ago
@jaguar4u2 Well, I forgot to add, it was the directors coice to make it B&W.
