  • this story is amazing. i love this story. :) so emotional and heartwarming. who could EVER dislike something so precious?! Don Bluth and Disney worked on this together? Amazing :) I love both Don and Walt's work. They're truly good animators and good movie directors or whatever you call it. i own this myself its just a classic :D

  • sean marshall who voices that boy, also plays pete in pete's dragon! and that kid does look like mowgli!

  • It really breaks my heart to see a beautiful friendship about the be split apart. :'(

  • Thta kid could be for Anne-Maries sister in All dogs go to heaven. They look alike.

  • @boru25 Ha ha ha ha ha

  • @boru25 Ha ha ha ha ha. He looks more like Mowgli.

  • Yea. It's just when I look at this I don't see Walt Disney. I see Don Bluth.

  • @boru25 It's actually very funny you should say that. This was made in the late 1970's, and at the time, Don Bluth actually was working at Disney, he ended up leaving in the mid-80's after The Fox and the Hound, but Don Bluth actually directed and produced this movie. Not to mention animating a few things. So, anyway, good eye!

  • one of my beloved movies from childhood!

I had it on VHS tape.

  • it looks to me like Small One is as stubborn as a-- oh god-- time for bed!

  • See, this is why Disney needs to go back to traditional animation. It inspires them to tell traditional stories that promote traditional values. To quote Tevye: TRADITION!! Screw political correctness!

  • OMG FINALLY!! My siblings made a puppet show of this story one cmas, but I never saw it!

  • I have been looking for this years. My son watched it every day from Christmas to June in 1984 and just loved it!
