@neophytum Fate is pretty good, like a really rough version of Torchlight. Its worth a look, although choosing between Fate and Torchlight is no contest. Of course Torchlight II should be out in a couple months as well.

@Devicon Fate is a rip off of Diablo 2. Blizzard fired all of the original blizzard north staff in 2003-2005. They than where hired by Runic Games and they began work on this. Something very similar to diablo 2 And also fate, due to the fact that fate is a 95% rip off.

Love the game coming out for 360 now too with new quests, new sets/gear and a whole new smoother interface it's said if they get enough support they will release torchlight 2 with coop or possibly coop for the first torchlight. I'm a huge D2 fan and honestly to hear that a game like this with some of the developers from d1/d2 is now coming to 360 is great news because this Is definately something consoles have been lacking please show your support and dload it next month when it comes out you'l

also, from my understanding after looking at your first video, the magic attribute improves the dmg of explosive shot and arrow hail, correct?

@valandilalandil the flames are spells the monsters cast. Explosive shot depends on the weapon DPS, and the weapon DPS depends on Dexterity. Arrow hail doesn't depend on Dex or Magic(Ithink).

@febefighter after you have finished the main storyline the endless dungeon is open. Watch "Torchlight - Vanquisher High Level - Part 1". There is a link in this video in the bottom left of the screen. In "Part 1" skip ahead to 2:30, the dungeon is inside that building at 2:30.

How do you UPGRADE your 4 spells

i bought it over steam and theres no manual online.

@kvg44gbs You gain skill points each time you advance a level. With those points you can upgrade your skills in the skills tab. The spells you get from books you cant upgrade. You must unlearn them with Ctrl+Right click (I think), and then find/buy a spell book that has a higher level. For example, you can get Fireball I, II, III, IV, V and VI.

Hmm, isn't there a menu somewhere where it says the key? Maybe F12? If not, you can use "Print Screen" key and paste it later to paint, and save it. Alternatively, use screen recording Software like fraps, which have a Screenshot function.

How did you get the words of the items/barrels to stay there?

In the middle there is the life/mana globe, left next to it is the pause button ( | | ), nex to that the magnifying class (with alt written beneath it). Click on the magnifying class to toggle the labels (like holding alt all the time).

Not sure, depends also a lot on the difficulty. Not as long as Diablo II, but longer than games like MW2. After the main storyline there is a dungeon with infinite levels, so you can continue to level and collect items.

40~ isn't a high level. Use the 999cap mod and say you're a high level when you're 700+ :). Good video, though. I currently have an 89 destroyer, hits about 26k crit on average. Working on a vanquisher at the moment, hoping to hit level 100 by tomorrow.

Nice level :P, well I meant high level in relation to the story line and normal game play. The story line is beaten at a much lower level. Is the experience needed for the next level exponential or linear? And do the monsters continue giving more and more experience in deeper levels of the infinite dungeon?

Also, I don't use mods, not even the respec potion mod. I like playing games as they were intended to play, or simply the original game. At your level, don't you have pretty much all the skills maxed? Even at my level I have maxed all the ones I have use for.

well, the glitch was simply that one could enchant any item as many times as one wanted, making them extremely good, better than any items in the game. The chance that the item broke while enchanting was 1%. They now fixed that, and the % of loosing all enchantments goes up each new bonus type a couple of %. It wasn't really a glitch, but simply an unbalanced feature.

There are normal items, uniques, rares, magic and set items. The Sets also give you a bonus if you have a number of pieces of the set. Finding items/looting is an important aspect of this game, just like Diablo.

This char is 100% offensive. So when I use items I look for those that give me the most damage boost. My strategy is too kill everything before it reaches me. In this part I died because I didn't kill and tried to rush, to get to the next floor. But as you can see I got trapped.

The "inheritance" function is available once you have complete the main story line with the character in question. So you could then retire your destroyer and pass on some of his characteristics on to your new destroyer.

So I cant play. I never liked wow anyway, so I never really played it. Its because I don't like those types of games, with free 3D view, I prefer diablo style. Like Titan Quest and Torchlight for example.
