There's some mistakes here, yeshuah in this case(Chaos), is not Jesus, but a disciple of the true Jesus in the game(called only by the title Messiah), there's a flashback in the game showing chaos, mary, and other disciples, and the messiah talking.

I just beat Xenosaga 3 again for what seems like the 10th or so time this morning xD I love this game! I love all the Xenosaga games! I beat Zarathustra normally like this a few times, then I just like Erde Kaiser Sigma do the work. Cheap, yes. But I just love that summon, it kicks so much ass, and I accomphlished alot during this playthrough then my others, new ways to go through the Skill Line, etc. Omega I.D was a "pain", but I go him in the end xD. Nice Battle Shokku!

i beat him on my 2nd or 3rd try. When he became physical resistence. KOS-MOS was my main lead. activate Blood dancer? somthing that cost 99 and then chaos increase the strength of everyone. Ziggy then breaks him. KOS-MOS then used the special attack you earn after beating telos. after that i used the gatling gun like 1 or two more times and i won. Love this game.

Besides the amazing visuals, the dialogue is extremely cliche and tasteless. I freakin' hate when the character is all "no don't do this!" basically saying to sacrifice yourself for the sake of countless lives. I mean how ridiculous, I would've definitely been willing to make that sacrifice in order to save something incomparably bigger.

Try the Xenosaga wiki, it has some interesting info on it. I never knew about the contrast between "chaos" and "KOS-MOS" (which apparantally means Order.)

@Zeldarulah Yes, Kosmos means "order" in Latin. There is a scene in the game where T-elos says to KOS-MOS, "I am order, not you." So that makes sense with "chaos" and "order", chaos being all in lower-case, while "KOS-MOS" is all in upper-case. Do you have any idea what place Mary has in this story, besides being the original KOS-MOS? Maybe...the Virgin Mary? But how does that fit?

To be honest, in my opinion the combat system was going downhill as each episode was flowing in. They should have just worked on the first episodes type of combat system. But no of course they had to make it idiot proof for those who found it too hard. So in the second and third you just got "points" to get your tech, skill and ether attacks. In the first it was specific points for each type of attack. Plus now the attacks in the second and third look like crap, they're not even flashy.

Big change from the first game. I own 1 & 2, just beat Mad Skelter. Once I get the money I'll try to find a copy of this. I was a little disappointed in Episode 2's fighting system. It seemed to simple and the characters didn't have any individual special attacks, aside from KOS-MOS. I wonder if I should even bother with this episode. The other grief I had with episode 2 was the level system for the E.S.'s. You'd thing the strength of a machine would decrease over time not strengthen.

So should I bother with episode 3 or is it another disappointment? From the looks of the videos the fighting system looks like the same old RPG style system. At least in the second they had zones. But I always fall for the character specials. We all love that one kind of special that attacks all enemies and makes battles that much easier.  I like how you equip the E.S.'s rather than leveling them. The E.S. leveling system from episode 2 is just so stupid. Pilot level yes, E.S. level no.

i like the battle system from the first game, but this game is awesome. the story is great as usual and the voices for kos-mos and shion are back; its not the valley girl voices like in two. the battle system holds on to some of the elements from the first game, but not much. the music is great. and the game is so sad; at the end you can't wait for the next game to come out, but that won't happen. i loved this game and i highly recommend it.

it is NOT a very good game at all! i consider it a horribly boring, interesting game. The gameplay sucks beyond imagination, but the story makes you want to continue. Not that its final fantasy caliber at all, but it just grows in you. So you play it cuz you want to know what will happen next
