Should they have crossed the state line and been caught by the cops in the neighbouring state then this a federal offence and would carry a long prison sentence. This is coming from a limey, BTW, in our country if you crossed a county border all that would happen is the cops in the next county would catch you and double your speeding fine.

@CyDaSnake ..older olice brother by a year--- the cop car is a '57 Belvedere, it does not have dual headlights. Duals becale legal in '58, Chiristine is a '58 and has duals. Easiest way to tell them apart.
