We could not find a single person to loan us a chainsaw for the shoot and did not have the money to rent one, so I photoshopped a picture of it lol. The shotgun is also photoshopped. But hey, just goes to show you can really make something fun and badass with absolutely no money and a little bit of computer know-how.

Great short guys! And for everyone that is confused or complaining about zombies and what not, check out the movie The Evil Dead, because it seems a lot of you have not seen that movie. I would actually recommend Evil Dead II more, then you'll understand the bit with the shotgun and the chanisaw. It is not Leatherface or Jason, it is not a slasher... it's "Ash, housewares!"...

@Thishoribolcreep There was no budget on this. The monster effects were made by me for a whopping 20 bucks. We found an abandoned location. We spruced up the look of the film with a lot of color correction. You can seriously shoot this same type of short film for nothing. So keep at it!

OK so a major problem I have with this video is that the girl is reanimated into a zombie in less that 5 seconds...Reanimation happens after several hours, not seconds.

Excellent! Packs in a lot of drama in 5 minutes and a nice twist at the end!! Excellent sound FX as well, really adds to drama. I tend to prefer suspense-horror to slasher-horror but this is a great short movie. I have posted a video response, a bit more basic, no FX really (the shotgun is done the old-fashioned way, no AfterEffects etc.,)

I hate the shaky cam effect more than anything. Well, it does work for certain scenes I guess, if you're trying to give the audience a "view from the character's eyes," but it gets WAAAAYYY overused in today's television and films...for example, the new Battlestar Galactica is virtually 98% "shaky cam"....all because the stories suck so bad they need the shaky cams to prop up the drama so people will keep watching.
