  • can somebody tell me why that dude (lead-singer?) is sitting with his back to Ernie's face..???

  • @yimme Quartets usually face towards the center of where they are singing, that's what caused him to be facing that way since they were also right by the piano in a tight setting. On a stage, the piano is usually off to the side, so this wouldn't happen in a stage setting. It's not a disrespect thing he's doing if that's the way it is appearing. His back is actually not directly in front of Ernie, one of the camera angles reveals it. Hope this helps.

  • Hey hoover, don't suppose you have the arrangement, or know where i can get it?

  • Don't suppose anyone has the arrangement for this??

  • The Cathedrals are one of if not the best quartet ever formed but I think the Statesmen's version is better.

  • Thanks for uploading this file. I found the first verse, and ref. lyrics, but the second verse is unknown for me. It starts at 0:40 (So happy are we I'm telling you my friend that...) Can somebody write this verse for me in a message?

    Thanks a lot.

  • I love the Cathedrals

    master of acapella

  • Chorus:

Our traveling days will soon be over here, And we shall cross the rolling tide, For we are down here for just a little while, Our home is on the other side, Ambassadors true for Jesus our redeemer, And its a love crusade, For right against wrong, But soon we'll join the throng in Heaven when the saints parade

LEAD: For Heaven's Kings, We gladly sing the story old, Yet ever new in Glory Land,

  • Can someone tell me what they sing in the second chorus? thank you :)

  • @SSQfan1 so happy are we to tell our friend, that Jesus can redeem your soul, from every known sin and make it new within, joy billows will begin to roll, a happy new song you will begin to sing, to Jesus He the way hath made, to glory land fair we'll have a mansion there to join us in the saints parade!

  • I'm very thankful!!! I hunted this second lyrics for 3 years. Thanks to you, I found it:)

  • The video is "The Best of The Cathedrals" also check Gaithers tribute to the Cathedrals.

  • Counting Roger Bennett, it is sad to know that 60 per cent of this group is gone. It is is great to know that we will soon be with them to hear their singing again when we get to Heaven.

  • i like this performance than the signature sound...

  • Wondering what Gaither video is this off from? Thanks!

  • This song is featured on two DVD's:

    50 FAITHFUL YEARS

    THE BEST OF CATHEDRALS

  • The Cathedrals are my favorite and arguably the best group ever in southern gospel music.

  • @Cavfan2011 No need to argue, They are the BEST!!!!

  • Do you have a copy of the cathedrals doing this song where glen sings all the parts one at a time?

  • woah is there such a copy? if there is where did you hear it?

  • I think that version is on the 50 Faithful Years video. It's pretty neat!

  • yes...i miss them lots! i went to a few of their concerts...they were amazing! loved George!

  • Makes me smile

  • ALWAYS AWESOME, MISS YOU GEORGE

  • I miss those guys so much!

  • so nice, you'll be blessed promise...

  • this is great can sum1 tell me which church they go 2 if u know reply to me

  • george younce and glen payne (the two older gentlemen) and Roger Bennett (the one sitting at the piano) have all passed away.

  • I live in the area that George and Glenn are from. I got to meet George once in a store, and my mom and sister met him at a store once too and he gave them a tone of their music and their book. My mother went to the church where they started the group, so she actually knew them before the group became well known.

  • I had the priviledge of seeing them live..great in person!

  • I sing this song with my quartet, the exactly same arragment, beautiful song!!

  • Love it!

  • What talent and beautiful harmony.
