yes, music that cossets the land is always good. We do so much damage, though lamenting on this does not undo the crime that we commit in the secular world of the day-tomorrow forgetting, thus is one, no calculation, only the profit of fed to our destined bed, death. As humans, we are the only animals that don't understand. I suppose we annoy all that is well.
Thank you for sharing his your video it he is very nice I am very happy of saver that persons exist mas in the world that they have respect my mother nature

I'm definately enjoying going through your videos. My internet has been a bit off, but is working better now, so I should be able to check more of them out. (As far as the U2 nostalgia - it's that obvious, huh? Missing the boys...)
I see from your rather scant channel that you joined April 3rd, two days after fools day. This probably explains your rather irrational and badly written comment which reminds us all that despite Darwin's theories, evolution was not always such a success.
I recognise some of the areas you shot here Ronan, very evoking and some very interesting observations. I left leitrim because of the lack of opportunity but there's always some kind of pull that tells me I should go back and make my own opportunity.
A very nice video. I liked it. Ireland looks alot like my home country Armenia. I think earth is spiritual. I also think humans are spiritual creatures as well (eventhough our spirituality is diminishing and we are not taking care of our earth well enough). as the bible mentions after death we go back to earth. we become part of it.
The greatest gift we have Mother Nature has provided it for us and we poison, chop down and destroy all before us in the name of progress. We hunt and kill all the creatures that Mother Nature has provided. We are heading for self destruction unless we change. We must respect the land upon which we walk and all those who reside....Peace and Unity.....
In my case Yes though we can forget this link while living and working surviving in a man made envoirnment the earth is our mother she gave birth to us I think this fits into every culture and religion we are from this planed she has fed us and sheltered us taught us how to live so why do we let her be raped by shell oil an national roads authority desecrating graves and national nature reserves money is not going to feed man when the earth rejects us like a fox gets rid of fleas!
Beautiful Video..I recently walked a meadow in Montana the place my Da so loved and gently let his ashes fall back into the earth, it was the closest I ever felt to him. There was always a breeze on the hill, but not this day, wild flowers filled the air with life, a closure so lovely, no tears only peace. You've captured so much in this video.Thank you Prudence

Beautiful video. I am one of the lucky people...I live in Derry and have only a few miles in any direction to go to see this beautiful scenery.. Thank you.
I have associations in Inishowen which is a gorgeous part of Donegal but I think the most dramatic scenery is seen around the North West coast...around the Glencolmcille area and Bloody Foreland.
'my mountains ...take me in. soon i,ll touch you, so have me in, my warmth and salty tears of joy and excited fears. i,m rushing to you, greet me, talk to me through wise and powerful silence your beauty and soft violence. dear, velvety and wild mountains of mine embrace me in my circle of time.' dear ronan, i am thanking for this piece in tears. g.

Many thanks Sarah and you are so right about natures healing qualities. I think the reason we are so close to the land is that we were mainly a farming race up to only thirty years ago and relied on the land to sustain ourselves.

Thank you CelticLittleHawk. I think those who were both sustained and starved by the land always develop a spiritual connection, knowing how important it is to life and indeed death.
yes exactly ive always thought that our obsession with house buying whilst in my opinion also indicative of our opression is very much trying to own a piece of land that can never be taken from us and feeling like were rooted here.
I'm editing my latest film 'Three Days in Summer' which is a doc on John McGahern the Irish author who died a couple of years ago. He also had an extraordinary relationship with the land, something which I hope to capture in the film. Will be posting it in next few weeks.
Very intimate film Ronan, it touches people, and brings a sense of calm, I love it!!

Great vid all around.Being both Irish & Native American I definitely agree with Mr. Gallagher about the spirtiual connection to the land.

Will be posting it in next few weeks.

this is beautiful it sums up succintly how i feel about being irish which might sound strange but as a race i think were deeply attached to the land

Thanks Paul. Not unlike the American Indians who are also deeply attached to and have a great understanding of Mother Earth.
