i beat this urgent quest from the village elder and the one from the guild

heres the trick ive only done this the first time ive fuaght a tigrex for the urgent quest

get a shocktrap and 2 trap tool with 2 genprey fang 10 mega potions 10 potions 10 herbs 10 blue mushrooms 5 flashbombs and if u want ancient potion and max potion but only use this strategy if u have no other choice

@pablopablopablo3 erm no the only dragons on monster hunter are elder dragons which are a higher class than a lot of monsters.I think what you mean is flying wyverns which are less powerful than elder dragons but more powerful than most other classes

Personally I prefer to use a Greatsword, however I being new to Tigrex hunting I am finding myself wanting to opt for a wapon with better speed. Whilst I would usually suggest SnS, SnS is a slow and rather boring weapon and Greatswords well you can't guard. I have yet to try Hammers and want to avoid using them as that is what EVERYONE uses. So does anyone have any suggestions?

Instead of thunder sns, I used eager cleaver, it is easier to cut the tail and deals more damage, I also used kushala daora armor set level 7, harder than biangoga set. Although becareful in timing and attacking, since you can't guard with a long sword. I also had help from my cat which is leveled up to level 14 with a thunder attack, I observe that in this game, it will help you alot to train your cats.

If som of u r having trouble thn take som extra traps ( 3*) and some sonic bomb(*2). Also take flash bomb(2*) which makes the monster confused. Trust me this helps a lot. I use long sword (final black katana)!! If u take traps it might take u like 4-5 min.

Hi, I'm also stuck on this lil' fellow, tigrex.

I'm SnS user and I'm wondering isn't the Deathprize better than Thunderbane? Since you can paralyze tigrex time to time without the use of shocking traps.

BTW I'm seeing you're using the blango armour (same as me) but did you upgrade it somehow? I really whant to know what you did to your armour so I can do the same for mine and then...maybe it will help me kill tigrex.

i used a bowgun (light of course) that had a rapid fire function. with a light bowgun you can dodge his attacks and strike when you have a chance (just be careful with rapid fire as it leaves you open). craft a bowgun that shoots an element shot that the tigrex is weak to,

the best SnS for him would be the frightbane(has thunder element), the only "problem" is that it requires elder dragon bones, kushala drops it, and hes a piece of cake but newbies find him hard due to barrier :P

umm u should use one of these two classes gs or lance lance cause u can stand at the wall at the cliff and when he gets stuck u can do the upper cut and withg the gs cause if u land a full gs charge on its head u will make it stagger but sometimes cause if its cheif if your sword dose over 1000 damage u can do it in two gs charges like lvl2.

i tried vsing the tigrex with kirin bolt indora it was easy only got hit 3 times tho u dont really need to do the hit and run tactic cause if u know how many times it takes to make it flinch on the head then your all good with the kirin bolt indora i think it is about 7-11 hits depends on how rapidly u attack the head.
