No team in the Big 12 has a defense like Ohio State's, Texas took us too lightly, we were embarrassed by USC, but you need to look at the factors:
Beanie was injured, this put pressure on Boeckman, who in turn throws 3 interceptions putting pressure on our defense.
Ohio State fortunately is going to be even better this year, now we actually have a good offense and an amazing QB and two good running backs.
Either way it was a great game. You can't say either of the teams played bad.

I hope OSU keeps going to the title game (win or lose) just so it makes all you conference homers (especially SEC) mad. Your conference may have better competition, which is why a team like Florida had 3 losses, LSU 2, etc. I get that. But until you get better recruits than the teams in your conference, and find a way to go through undefeated or with 1 loss, stop picking on a team in its conference who does. If you get sick of OSU and the rest of the big ten on primetime, turn off your TV.

Dang Ohio State is reminding me of Oklahoma now. Oklahoma chokes in big games and now I realize that Ohio State chokes more cause they always lose in National Championships. UT never really chokes cause they have guys like Vince Young who can go into Pasedena, and Columbus and win big games against Michigan, Ohio State, and USC, with the exception of goin undefeated in 2005. It really does hurt this city when people around the nation run their mouth about Ohio State. Despite UF won the championship, I genuinely think OSU was the better team throughout the season. With the wins over # 2 Texas, #13 Iowa, and #2 Michigan...Ohio State sealed itself as one of the greatest teams of all time...sadly, most of these great teams never win the championship (USC 2005, Miami 2002).

you were right about the defense. SC's defense was way better these last two seasons than 2005.
And if Bush and White had stayed for 2006 (since they both had one year of eligibility remaining), USC would have won the national championship...without doubt.
