you waste too much time on this vidoe. Like u spent sooo much time describing the color...No one give a damn about what color it is. The reason I liked the review is because you were very (if not too) thorough and you got to everything. So, I would prefer this video over many others. 4/5

It's a good small PC for basic use (web browsing, music, video, word processing, instant messaging, etc). Don't expect to be gaming on it or anything that that. It's great for school work though. You can even put win 7 rc on it ;)

People should be grateful that someone is willing to take their time out and review something to help others out. When I uploaded this there wasn't many 1000HE reviews at all and people were still complaining lol. So if my review isn't good enough, go find another. That's all I'm saying. It's not like I said, "GTFO" or anything like that.

could you tell me the weight (in grams or pounds) of the battery that comes with the netbook? also, the weight of the netbook without the battery installed. that would be most helpful. thanks!

how is the blue color of this asus laptop? i am too confussed which to buy - blank or blue ? pls advise.

It's a navy blue color..a real dark navy blue. If I had to choose again I would probably pick all black since it looks more classier. I really don't care about the color though as long as it looks half way decent and performs!

The navy blue (similar to the blue offered by the Aspire One) and the keyboard stands out alot. makes it look a little bit more childish, While the Black one is all black with the silver hinge very sleek and stylish, go black... you'll never look back

how well does it handle &fmt=18, &fmt=35, and &fmt=22 youtube videos (running full-power)?

My videos are all set up so that each of these formats will work.

Also, how well does it work with netflix streaming?

I tried watching all of your videos in HD with the "Super Performance" mode on my 1000HE and I couldn't play any of them. They were choppy but the sound was damn near perfect. I don't use netflix, sorry.

What about playing them with "&fmt=18" appended to the end of them...and "&fmt=35"? Also, I assume it can play regular quality ok.

Standard quality I can view them perfectly, but on HD with all of your videos all I got is lag as with all other videos on youtube that I attempt to watch HD version.

Both of those high quality videos play perfectly. It only has problems with HD videos. HQ is perfect.

In any event, glad to hear they do ok...l.that leaves only the netflix question to be answered...if that'll work without lag, I'll probably be getting one of these...maybe......

I promise they were in HQ lol. I already used a netflix trial a few months ago with my Xbox 360. That's long gone so I can't help you with the netflix

Blame windows movie maker and youtube for killing the quality.  I had to split the video with windows movie maker because it was too long and had to save the file to my computer. I used the "high quality (large)" setting in movie maker and it still didn't come out clear as I would like. Any tips on how to get better quality with movie maker would be appreciated. If I would have been able just to upload this from my built it camera software it would have most likely been high quality. Sorry.
