@LegendArtistry If you go to bricklink (dot) com and click on Buy Parts, go to the category called Tile, Modified, and the ones I used are halfway down the page. They are called Tile, Modified 4 x 4 with Studs on Edge.

@minimatefactory how many of each did you buy for each display section? I bought a bunch of flat pieces from the actual lego website and a bunch of the 1x1 pieces so i could put them in running poses without it showing too much. But it doesn't have that really cool layered look that you have.

@spiderweb20 My display is 4 layers deep, and with each layer I bump up the height of the stand with another 2x2 block, so by the time you get to the back layer there is the 2 layers of thin 4x12 plates, then 3 2x2 blocks, then the stand, and finally the minimate. I also stagger each layer so that the characters behind the first row appear between the gap in the minimates, as opposed to completely behind them. I hope that all makes sense!

@spiderweb20 Yes that is me. :) The 2nd series of Artmates will be released this fall. The only one I can confirm right now is the Mona Lisa.

@RandomReviewers123 If you get a minimate with a leg or arm that doesn't move, don't force it! Put that part in boiling water for 20 seconds, and then it should loosen up. Otherwise minimates are pretty reliable! :)

@RandomReviewers123 Don't boil the entire minimate if you have a stuck knee joint (for example) - just boil the leg.

@talose121 I couldn't really say for the minimates. Some I paid as much as $15 each for. Others were less than $1. Also many of them are custom figures. The legos and putty combined for all of this was about $120.

@muhxfugger In the comic store release he came with Classic Iron Man, and a variant Bolt Face Iron Man. With the helmets and hair pieces that come with these two Iron Man figures you can get 4 different minimate looks, so it wasn't so bad really. :)

You will have to watch ebay for a Minimates Max Galactus statue. But the one I have is heavily modified. You can see pics of him at the Minimate Factory site I have linked in the description.

The DC minimates came out a while ago, and then were canceled by DC Direct. So now ebay is probably your best option.
