how is it that the 80s had all the great music and styles? the 00s era tried to bring back skinny jeans and 80s gear and totally failed! and we have crap like lil wayne drake and that annoying niki chick -_- my mom n dad were the lucky ones
80's music has an other worldly feel to it, like its not of this earth. and when you listen to it, it sends you away in your mind to the deepest recesses of space and time.
wow ! ... this is the original video from them , the first i saw this vid .. it was at the Pamalou disco club on may , 07 . 1983 , that was my 18 years birthday ...
I remember that I sang this song in the talent show in the 9th grade a couple years ago. The teachers and staff knew the song well but hardly ANY of the students knew the song at all. What an embarrassment.
@zztiki I'm the opposite. I've never liked the song, but it plays constantly in my head. As for the singer, I don't actually think he's ugly, but he's scary looking. One person said he looked like a rapist. Another said he looked like a killer. Either way, if I saw him in a dark alley, I would probably run for my life.
I never was crazy about this song, but it's hard to get out of my head. And I never saw the video until I went on YouTube. I find it hard to get over how scary that singer looked. He could probably be called attractive, but those eyes freak me out, especially when opened wide. Someone referred to his eyes as "derpy," but I don't know what that means.
i remember el barrio la aurora e guadalajara my friends julio , beto alex el mokys el donas mi primo eduardo el chucu y yo manuel castellanos from sylmar california saludos
@fluffatronix That's a good way of putting it. Someone else said he looked like he wanted to kill someone. If I saw him in a dark alley, I would probably run for my life.
I have this on 12" plastic from when i lived in Manly Sydney in 1983. I'm 57 now and i don't give a shit about todays music, this is 80s Oz music at it's best, timeless. Back in Manchester now looking forward to Rammstein in March. !!
@redrosecloudy This music is sublime- like a small portion of Heaven on Earth. I'm 60 and a biker (not a poser/wannabe). I grew up in a time when much of the music I liked wasn't created on a synthesizer, but, I like this kind of music. This song, and Crazy by Icehouse, reminds me of my late and eternally-precious wife, Barbra Rose. We were married for only two years before cancer stole her away from me. My Barbra is still my Gift of Heaven and will remain as such forever.
@mickeymousebiker1 Sorry about your dear wife but it is promissed that you will see her again...keep in mind spirit and energie is very much alike...music can take you back 30 even 80 years behind and make you feel like it was yesterday...same with dreams perfumes and other things unexplainable to scientists which proves we were made to live forever....I feel the same way when i listen to old songs...open my eyes and realize I'm in a different time.....All the best Cheers

@redrosecloudy thank-you nothing can replace the 80's even if they try to bring it back. Enjoy the concert in march I don't know who rammstein is I'm gonna look them up right now. PEACE :)
@redrosecloudy Awesome! In March there's gonna be a concern in SA's wine country, Aus. with all the great classic rock bands, Noiseworks, Choirboys, Ian Moss etc called A Day on the Green. The other day I was out walking and someone drove past playing Noiseworks' 'Touch' at full volume... I was like, "yeah!" and the rest of my walk was like walking on air. !! =)
this song is like so totally like tubular. i wish i was a teen in the 80s, so i can say "like" a million times in a sentence without sounding gay.. where i can say rad, and tubular, and bring rubix cubes into school, and have a private dungeons and dragons club at my house, and have teased hair, and leather jeans, and drive to school in corvette and where you have to talk to girls in person and not over phone. now all we say is omg and we all come to hair with our hair straight(girls annd guys)
I grew up as a kid in the 80s and it was by far the best decade for music, tv, and + movies.
