Please Please tell me where i can get this done. my sister got this done in london its great. i've been looking for a place for a while now. please let me know thanks
hey! i'm brazilian and im going to dublin in october, if u want i can take one good mask of brazilian keratin, after wash your hair u put the mask and wait 3 minutes , is really amazing, in just 3 min turns soo soft! u can use once per week.. :) xx
Can you please reccomend the hairdresser please?? my hair is normally mad and i need to attack it with a straightener to control the frizz but I got it cut recently and its a bob (which doen't suit me) and now its so hard to tame with my straightener so any suggestions would be greatly appreciated :)
Hi Amy, just wondering if you could recommend where to get this done in Dublin? I actually live in the UK (but am Irish) and am home for a week so was thinking this might be a good time to get it done. Have done a bit of Googling for the 12 week blow dry for UK salons but havn't come up with much info, also I just find Irish hairdressers better in general! Any help would be much appreciated! x
Heyyy! Im brasilian, and here EVERYBODY does it!!! Everybody loves it, BUT im allergic! I tried to do it and because of the formol that they put on it I almost enbd up in the hospital, the smell was so strong. And I did with one of my best friends, she owns a salon here, and I´ve seen people doing it there so I went for it. But too sad im allergic to the components =/. I subscribed, I already knew ur blog and I love it! Take care of ur hair because it´s beautiful!
please can you give me the name of the shampoo you use, i have been looking for a shampoo without sulphate, cant find one anywere, looked on your blog but couldnot find the name of it thank you
hello, i have this problem with hairloss. last time i attended the hairdressers they said my hair was terribly dry and beginning to break on the thinner side of my parting, they said it was down to streightening it, and i really dont want to leave it naturally.
I've had the Brazilian and it is truly amazing. I'm in Washington DC and the salons offer two types, one lasts 4-6 weeks but you can wash it after 24 hours, the second is the one where you have to wait 3 days before washing but it lasts for months and is amazing. The only issue I had was it made my hair a little flat but once you get comfortable with it it's worth it.
@acarnevale01 The one u mentined that u can wash right after here we call "the inteligent blowdry" the other one is "progressive blowdry" which Im allergic to it. I did the inteligent blowdry twice but it only lasts 2 months! I agree it´s so worth it, here everybody does it even though it´s VERY expensive. Thank god my friend owns a salon so have a good discount!!!=D
i agrree with you ive have natual high lights in my hair and i aslso died it red . i totally regretted it and i could never get t back to my natual couour so im leaving it and just letting it grow out xxxxxx
amy just wondering is it suitable for really curly hair? wud it stay straight for the 12 wks.my sis hair is so curly and fine. do you know is there a salon in donegal who do this treatment and roughly what cost?? thanks a million.c
I've never heard of this until now, it sounds really good :) My hair thankfully is a virgin to colour and isn't too damaged, but i would definetley consider getting this done if i had to :)
Would the 12 week blow dry only work with longer hair.. mine is the long one side and short and spiky the other style and needs a fair bit of re styling in the morning...you look much better blonde
I just went through the SAME experience; experimenting with auburn and strawberry on my medium blonde. Then it faded and looked nasty with my new growth. I'm growing it out and decided it was too much keeping up with the retouch, so I went back to my natural color. I used color remover to get rid of the color build-up, and then toned the orangey undertone down with an ashy demi-color. I hope you have success with your re-tinting! Love your videos, Amy!
Haha, my hair is naturally blonde, and I put black under my top layers, and dyed the top blonder, then I wanted the black out so I bleached it, and now my hair is red and white:/ but I am getting there back to my natural color.
Hang in there. I went from red/auburn back to blonde last year. I nearly lost me marbles during the transition. Within 3 months I had three different colourists add highlights... I was like an addict looking for a blonde fix LOL. The "brazilian blowout" worked wonders while I transitioned. BTW your hair looks grand in this video :-)
@ScorthyGal I wouldn't have a clue how much it would cost but if I were you I would proba get lowlights for winter if you want to go darker rather than an all over colour. That way it won't be too much hassle going lighter again. Have a chat with your hairdresser
I actually noticed that your hair seems a lot more straight recently (like pin straight). I have to say that I liked your natural slightly wavy texture better. It just looked more natural on you. Hope your hair gets better and that the process continues to go well!
@heidiheidi0 You can still wear your hair wavy/curly after the treatment. I just happened to have mine straight (since it's naturally boring like that) on the day I recorded :)
Its awful isnt it trying to get back to your natural colour, ive been red purple black and any other colour you could think of! Im now in the process of going back blonde and its been awful, ive now had to get my hair cut short which i hate! Im also trying to cut out heat lol...So good luck with it :D xx
Hey Amy. Would this work on like intensely curly hair, it stays straight but as soon as I wash it it goes crazy, would I be elligable for this treatment. Thanks x
Great video Amy thank you! I wash my hair 5-6 times a week (slap on the wrist for me) is the blowdry still worth it or might mine just last 5-6 weeks?
@misscatherine251 Thank you :) It won't wash out once you use the sulphate free shampoo, it's the sodium that eats into the keratin and reduces it's shelf life x
hi amy i have been doing my research on the 12 week blow dry for awhile now and have really been thinking about getting it done for the summer i live in dublin (clontarf) and was wondering if you could send me the details where u got ur's done xxx
this was aimed at amy and not u sorry i never give a bad comment but really got this feeling that she was and it is a veryyyyyyyyyy bad thing for ur hair so i know what i am talking about!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
it destroys ur hair and the shampoo u get too use for it makes it yellow my sister had it done ya they do straighten it because the heat on it is soooooooooooooo much thats why it stays straight! it wont make ur hair better her hair started cracking!
so u should of waited too do a review on it! cos it will mess ur hair!
and who is doing the blowdry sorry but seems like ur advertising for a salon in dublin so this is not a true review!
@lewize20 If Amy was advertising for a company or salon she would have said the name of that company, right? So the answer is No, she is obviously Not doing this video for the purpose of advertising. It's just her experience.
Thanks, she doesn't seem to understand the point of beauty videos. I tried a treatment, am sharing my experience, end of. I have nothing to gain, except healthy hair of course :)
i live in the middle of nowwhere in ireland lol and im not near a big city...is it only big salons like in dublin etc that salons do the 12 week blow dry...?
the keratin complex is 40% keratin mixed with other fillers- you can get a similar effect using chi keratin mist- and a hot iron- 350 or higher-depending on hair texture and thickness- you hair look FAB-!!!!! x shelly
hey you should watch plink278 video where she talks about ColourB4 Extra! and it helps you get rid of all the colour build up you have in your hair and restores your hair to its natural colour!!
@Nina20606 I bought it and then returned it haha Apparently it's very harsh but there were some great reviews and then some horror stories so I decided I wasn't brave enough haha x
Hi, I've been thinking about doing this for s while so it's a great coincidence that you did a video on it. My hair is quite think and wavy. I'm wondering if this 12 week blow dry would weigh it down and make it look limp. My aim is to have straight, thick, voluminous hair. Do you know of any salons in Galway that do it?thanks x
@february231980 I don't know galway at all but I'm sure that there's one by now. It hasn't weighed down my hair (it does for the few days before you wash it out). It seems to plump up the cuticle or something, like after you get your colour done x
@lollipop26 haha my mum's too, she's like sideshow bob (she's going to kill me for saying that!) Using Panasonic Lumix hd, with about 4 lamps to take down the orange glare off my hair!
This treatment sounds like my dream! Didn't realise it was the same as the brazilian blowdry. I was moaning earlier today about what a nightmare heat styling will be in the summer, if we get one! IA shame I'm in England. I used to get a little home kit like a perm in reverse to help me out but I think it has been discontinued. Might have to see if my salon do anything like this. Good luck with the colour this wkend, sure it will be ok!:)
@essjay23x Thank you! :) They would definitely do it over in the UK, we always get things after you lot, paddy last! We were only talking about the reverse perm the other day, wonder why they stopped it
honestly..i spent so much money to get it back healthy! u are lucky u have ur mum to look after u..pls give a chance to what i have just told u hon. highlighting i more damaginig than a semi permanent dye. in the summer u should be putting a spray against the UV rays of the sun. they sell it in sallys, because all the sun is doing is REBLEACHING the hair.how much does this keratin treatment cost?
@WaterDreaminOphelia Mine was 140 euro. It'll be covered in uv filter in the sun and up in a hat after that price! I don't go mad on highlights as I'm naturally light but I'm just trying to get my hair back to it's normal colour
I'm naturally blonde as well, and the only thing that has always kept me from experimenting with hair color is knowing what a pain it would be to get my natural color back. I hope you get yours to where you want it soon.
avoid hot tool ALWAYS and parabens..i use a shampoo and conditioner i got in the big tescos. they have a pump and the bottles are black . i think they are called louise gavin or something like that. they protect colour, really moisturizing and is about 2 quid.
btw IT IS NOT STRESS that made u loose your hair. It is the highlights that made my hair fall out and those little bleaching sprays that are meant to lift your blond in the winter. that made my thick strong hair really weak and nasty
@WaterDreaminOphelia Thanks a mil for the info. I only ever got highlights through the top as my hair is naturally a medium blonde. Stress is the culprit I'm afraid, it has happened before.
I heard about this a few months ago. I really wish i knew somewhere around my house that i could get this done! i also have naturally blond hair that basically went through the same hell. Recently i stripped and colored (i'm in the in between time also, waiting for the condition of my hair to get better before i highlight it!)it which left it feeling like straw! I bought a product called Mendex from sally's in the US, blow dryed it in, washed it out, and put a little back on the tips. Amazing!
u should go a light brown and leave it...it will be fine if u do that.if u keep highlighting in u will loose it all. trust me, do the keratin with your NATURAL LIGHT BROWN HAIR and if u don't highlight it , ur hair will go thick again..it will take around 2 years for it to get your amazing hair back. that is what happened to me anyway. dye it ur natural colour and LEAVE IT alone lol
this happened to me too (about half my hair fell out from depression...which started a vicious cycle because I was inconsolable about my hair and couldn't get better) - yours looks lovely though! The colour looks good too but maybe the lighting is different?
@BellamyBlue Tis the lighting alright haha I completely understand what you mean, it's a vicious cycle. Losing your hair is never good for your self esteem then when you add depression into the equation it's so much worse. I hope you are feeling better x
I know this might be a bit unrelated but im anemic and my hair used to fall out quite a lot. Taking iron supplements have really helped to stop the hair loss! x
Please Please tell me where i can get this done. my sister got this done in london its great. i've been looking for a place for a while now. please let me know thanks

honestly..i spent so much money to get it back healthy! u are lucky u have ur mum to look after u..pls give a chance to what i have just told u hon. highlighting i more damaginig than a semi permanent dye. in the summer u should be putting a spray against the UV rays of the sun. they sell it in sallys, because all the sun is doing is REBLEACHING the hair.how much does this keratin treatment cost?
WaterDreaminOphelia 1 year ago
@WaterDreaminOphelia Mine was 140 euro. It'll be covered in uv filter in the sun and up in a hat after that price! I don't go mad on highlights as I'm naturally light but I'm just trying to get my hair back to it's normal colour

I'm naturally blonde as well, and the only thing that has always kept me from experimenting with hair color is knowing what a pain it would be to get my natural color back. I hope you get yours to where you want it soon.

its very pricey though..mine took 4 and half hours ..long curly hair :S

avoid hot tool ALWAYS and parabens..i use a shampoo and conditioner i got in the big tescos. they have a pump and the bottles are black . i think they are called louise gavin or something like that. they protect colour, really moisturizing and is about 2 quid.
btw IT IS NOT STRESS that made u loose your hair.

BellamyBlue 1 year ago
@BellamyBlue Tis the lighting alright haha I completely understand what you mean, it's a vicious cycle. Losing your hair is never good for your self esteem then when you add depression into the equation it's so much worse. I hope you are feeling better x

@gemsmaquillage Ah thanks Gemma but the lighting is actually being rather generous. There is an orange glare off it!

I know this might be a bit unrelated but im anemic and my hair used to fall out quite a lot. Taking iron supplements have really helped to stop the hair loss! x
