  • You! yes you-

I fucking love you. Thanks for this,

  • which comes first? lineart or colour? or neither?? O.o I'm kinda lost with this part..my lineart just doesn't go with the rest of the thing...

  • I love it. So simple yet so perfectly explanatory. Once you learn this, you'll be on your way to improve. Amazing vid. c;

  • would this metod also work for photoshop ???

  • @lamphongvan All painting programs work pretty much the same. Some tools or actions may vary, but you will definatelly find airbrush, dodge and burn in Photoshop just as well. If you use it, you should know.

  • @SonicGasm well for some program such as Sai, the blur us different i have no control over it

  • @lamphongvan Then learn to use blur tool?

  • :'( I can't draw for my life with a mouse :( it sucks :,(

  • @keybladelol

im not that great with a moues eather, thats why i got a bamboo bord. its amazing. :)

  • hey, is this Pro?

  • super!! thank you! :)

  • are you on deviantART?

  • @paramoretwilight101 yes she is on one of her videos she has a link to it

  • Do you need a drawing pad or something cuz i would suck if i drew with my mouse or laptop pad thingy.

  • @MonsterJulian I believe this was than with the use of tablet. Most artists prefer using a separate or an on-screen tablet to imitate more traditional drawing techniques.

  • why can't i draw like this????

  • @lamphongvan same thing i said........the world is cruel my friend

  • where can download your oekaki?

  • ******* whoaa ur goood

  • Aaahh, beginning with the sketchy, sketchy :)

  • ur really good at drawing

  • u are amazing

  • Sweet, much respect.

  • I really love your style, but what I admire the most is that you manage to make such beautiful things with a mouse, that's really inspiring for me :)

  • damn, i came back to this video to see a good way to draw ears, only to realize she doesnt draw the ears lol. oops.

  • I'm so jalous! It looks so easy for you!

  • I love the style of your art.

  • such a smart idea to blur to get rid of harsh lines. =D i love your style of colouring!

  • I could never get the hang of OekakiBBS, but I adore the work other people create with it. <3

  • what is the art program you are using called?

  • I believe that's oekaki bbs

  • you have a odd way of approching drawing but your rendering is kick ass, lol

  • Do you use a tablet?

  • As stated in the credits, she uses a mouse.

  • @lalafunnys yes!! a MOUSE!! incredible!

  • i just Love the effect you got with blurring out! Thanks!

  • HA! Omg I nearly fell of my chair thats awesome love it! xD

  • LOVE IT :D which tablet are you using?

  • Some people seem to think that speed painting means you just play the video back quick.

  • @Janusha ... O.o really? Then what is it?!

  • Comment removed

  • @Janusha It's what it has come to mean on Youtube. Perhaps people should title their real speed paintings, as "real speed painting," or something. I love true speed paintings. The unfinished, rough look is nice.

  • Ive been trying to do some of it. Im DieselMink on Deviantart.

  • @Janusha ok thats what i thought speed painting was what is it?

  • @rockstarhinata

Its a form of impressionalism where you quickly arrive at what you wanted to paint without any detail at all. Details are sort of suggested with use of textures and broad strokes but the main feel and depth of the image is intact through strong lines. Its a really quick way to sketch something down really quickly with alot of depth and shape.

Go to Deviantart and search for Speed Paint.

  • Search forexample for "Forest Speed paint" or "Pride of Terana" speedpaint. Those are ok examples.

  • @Janusha ohhhhhhh :( so thats what it is .......yeah i cant speed paint

  • hahaha nor can I. :) but I tried a few times and now I find it interesting because for "concept art" it gives results really quickly so you can easily see if youre on the right track before you have spent all day doing the wrong thing. its useful.

  • when u blurred the lineart nd coulors was tht using the blurring tool? im a bit confused S: nd also how can i get this sort of effect on photoshop lol im lost

  • maybe a photoshop one? :P

  • make more tutorials plz this is awesome

  • Love this tutorial!!! Would you make more? You are so creative!! Would love to learn more from you.

  • Fabulous! Fantastic use of colour and line. Nice original work. Breath of fresh air in the tutorials!

  • I love him, is just beautiful, you are talented

  • so awesome

  • dont listen to anyones negative comments..youve truely got some talent :)

  • what song is that? :-O

  • aw, i guess someones just a little jealous :)

  • thunderpantza, maybe your face is crooked.

  • That's been said ready you're too late.

  • Face is crooked

  • the face is meant to be like that

thats the way the artist wanted the postion to be

  • Wtf? Crooked eyes? I think it was just a careless mistake, simply pointing it out.

Never in my life met an artist drawing a legit face and making the eye crooked on purpose.

  • um i dont like pointing obvious things out but the face is on a tilt so thats why maybe the eye isnt in line in with the other

  • The face is not tilted, the nose is drawn opposite to the viewers. It's just the jaw that's unsymmetrical. (So the eyes are still crooked) Great painting though.

  • Constructive criticism is good for every artist. But are you trying to help the artist, or are you just blunt to them? Even though they end up having the same results (the criticism by itself), but they come from different purposes from the critic (to help or to vex).

  • simply said eyes are crooked. Constructive. Next time maybe he/she can work on it. Everyone else got all pissy and offensive. Thought it was funny so I played along lol. Ya'll got trolled.

Keep doing what you do rtemilynguyen

  • um what if you dont have a style?

    lol.

  • Find your own style...

  • Is oekaki the style? Or the way you do things?

  • Oekaki is the style.

  • oh, ok, thanks

  • she was wrong oekaki is a program. xD

  • You should make your own video if you're so good. :D

  • @iskadono What do you mean?

  • Your artwork is amazing. I'm still learning with the tools, But I've got layers down pretty good. I use shipainter though.

  • Is the program ur using free by any chance ;-;

  • Amazing, but I got a little bit of a headache when you blurred the lineart, haha

  • WHo is she @_@!!! Good job dude 5/5

  • WHATS PROGRAM ARE YOU USING? THANKS

  • Hmmm...so can you only do this with this art program or could I possibly do a similar thing with my Adobe Photoshop CS3? Thanks very much for explaining and for this tutorial! I still do not understand everything but still, this clears up alot. So...the main tool you use is the pen tool? I don't see how you can draw so well with it. It's hard for me to draw good stick figures with that tool, lol. Anyways, thanks once again!

  • I don't "go nuts with the colors" often enough.

  • I'm going to remember the "Go nuts with the colors!" Every single time i draw now.

  • I never thought of bluring that way to preserve the old lineart! Amazing x3!

  • hey guy, do you need some special hardware to do that?

  • Not really. OekakiBBS is online and the recording device is Camstudio, which you can download for free in the official website ;)

  • what makes this oekaki? it doesn't fit the definition that I just read that peaked my interest and made me search. dont' get me wrong, this was great. it just makes me curious what the actual definition of oekaki is?

  • It literally means 'painter' or something like that in Japanese. But it seems like oekaki means message board painting in the Internet realm.

  • hmmm interesting very good to know i don't want to go throwing the word around in the wrong way. thanks for straightening it out for me.
