@lamphongvan All painting programs work pretty much the same. Some tools or actions may vary, but you will definatelly find airbrush, dodge and burn in Photoshop just as well. If you use it, you should know.
@MonsterJulian I believe this was than with the use of tablet. Most artists prefer using a separate or an on-screen tablet to imitate more traditional drawing techniques.
@Janusha It's what it has come to mean on Youtube. Perhaps people should title their real speed paintings, as "real speed painting," or something. I love true speed paintings. The unfinished, rough look is nice.
Its a form of impressionalism where you quickly arrive at what you wanted to paint without any detail at all. Details are sort of suggested with use of textures and broad strokes but the main feel and depth of the image is intact through strong lines. Its a really quick way to sketch something down really quickly with alot of depth and shape.
hahaha nor can I. :) but I tried a few times and now I find it interesting because for "concept art" it gives results really quickly so you can easily see if youre on the right track before you have spent all day doing the wrong thing. its useful.
when u blurred the lineart nd coulors was tht using the blurring tool? im a bit confused S: nd also how can i get this sort of effect on photoshop lol im lost
The face is not tilted, the nose is drawn opposite to the viewers. It's just the jaw that's unsymmetrical. (So the eyes are still crooked) Great painting though.
Constructive criticism is good for every artist. But are you trying to help the artist, or are you just blunt to them? Even though they end up having the same results (the criticism by itself), but they come from different purposes from the critic (to help or to vex).
simply said eyes are crooked. Constructive. Next time maybe he/she can work on it. Everyone else got all pissy and offensive. Thought it was funny so I played along lol. Ya'll got trolled.
Hmmm...so can you only do this with this art program or could I possibly do a similar thing with my Adobe Photoshop CS3? Thanks very much for explaining and for this tutorial! I still do not understand everything but still, this clears up alot. So...the main tool you use is the pen tool? I don't see how you can draw so well with it. It's hard for me to draw good stick figures with that tool, lol. Anyways, thanks once again!
This is a really useful tutorial. In fact, I think watching all of your speed-painting vids inspired me to try your colouring style out. :D Nice work dear~ <3

Face is crooked
thunderpantza 2 years ago
the face is meant to be like that
thats the way the artist wanted the postion to be
purplemonkeyninja001 2 years ago
Wtf? Crooked eyes? I think it was just a careless mistake, simply pointing it out.
Never in my life met an artist drawing a legit face and making the eye crooked on purpose.
thunderpantza 2 years ago
um i dont like pointing obvious things out but the face is on a tilt so thats why maybe the eye isnt in line in with the other
purplemonkeyninja001 2 years ago
The face is not tilted, the nose is drawn opposite to the viewers. It's just the jaw that's unsymmetrical. (So the eyes are still crooked) Great painting though.
