I believe that the first European to discover these falls, David Livingstone, said "Scenes so lovely must have been gazed upon by angels in their flight". A man of science and God both, I believe he would have agreed this was an example of both at their best. :) And another man, upon seeing this, would likely say... "It's a DOUBLE RAINBOW.... a DOUBLE RAINBOW... oh my Goooood..." :P

we just came back from a visit and there is so much water going over the falls that you could hardly see a thing from the spray. The bridge and lookout point across the bridge were like standing in a tropical downpour LOL! Sometimes, less is more.
@Playomatic haha I see from your other comments that you would like to see it again when it is wetter and I would like to see it again when it is drier. :) Such a long way from Australia though, but since I have family in Botswana, it's not impossible that I'll get my wish. Wouldn't it be great to be able to visit in multiple times in one year to really capture it's different moods? :)
I remember been on the bridge that connects Zambia and Zimbabwe and I was sooo scared when i was 6 years old and all i saw was some crazy white people jumping off some platform... no racial.
@Sociopathics Or maybe hundreds of thousands of years of erosive cycles under unlikely circumstances, thanks to SCIENCE! Whatever you want to believe, I guess...
@yesimstuntdude A snarky comment like yours was obviously a jab at personal beliefs of other people, no matter how much passive-aggressiveness it was soaked in.
@yesimstuntdude I haven't checked replies in a while, is that a crime? And by the way, your last two comments are kind of contradictory to each other regarding your position in this little "debate". Get your mind right.
@Sociopathics Nope, it's just that necro-bumping old arguments is kind of frowned upon on the internet. And they were not contradictory, I don't see how you think they are. Get your mind right.
@yesimstuntdude Maybe if you hang out on the Chans, but it's free game out here. And you might want to look at your previous comments from an objective point of view and get back to me.
@Sociopathics Like I said, necro-bumping is kind of frowned upon on the internet. I'm not sure how many times I'm going to have to repeat that for you. Also, I read through them again, at your request, and still nothing I said has magically changed around and become contradictory. Sorry.
ya i saw it during winter, (summer in america) but the water wasn't this low. Also there was mist and rainbows everywhere. My cousins tell me during the raining season the water is so much higher
You should indeed. I went one April and we were soaking from over a mile away. You didn't get to see much but the sheer ferocity of the sound and mist was an amazing experience on its own.
@Playomatic Just remember, in the wet season, because of the volume of water, you don't see the falls because of the spray. Low water is better to at least see them.
Thank you for the video and the guitar instrumental in the background is perfect. Watching the falls with the solo in the background is magical. Thankyou for posting.
@musicsake Thanks, Musicsake. I appreciate that endorsement and Dave will be pleased to hear that about the music. Obviously I thought they went well together or I would not have put them together--so thanks for your appreciation. And good ear! :)
@Krantz2389 I agree. I'd really like to see Angel Falls, too. It's on my list of awesome waterfalls to see before I die. Victoria Falls is definitely on my list of favorite places and I'd go back in a heartbeat!
I completely agree. It's just one of those clearly great places on Planet Earth. I think Africa must have many of those and I'd like to see more of them.
In this video, yes it is but I lived in Zambia as a child in the 70s and when we went, there was a huge amount of water thundering over the top the whole length of the falls. It is quite sad to see that there isn't nearly as much water but then, perhaps this was filmed during the 'dry season' and not the 'rainy season'.
The falls are actually in both countries. On one side you have Zambia and on the other Zimbabwe. Incidentally, both used to be one country and it was called Rhodesia. Zambia was in North Rhodesia and Zimbabwe was in South Rhodesia. Both got their independence from Britain with firstly, Zambia which became a republic in October 1964. It took much longer for Zimbabwe as that didn't gain independence until April 1980.
Thanks. We can't take any credit for the waterfall, of course, which is the best special effect in this video. Nevertheless, we appreciate your compliment a lot.
Well, Niagra falls has more water, but is a smaller water fall. Victoria Falls is way bigger and during the wet season has plenty of water. Notice how small the trees are at the top of the canyon. This is like the Grand Canyon plus water!
I am from Guyana and I wrote a poem about the majestic Kaieteur falls but I also feel compeled to write a poem dedicated to Victoria falls.

home sweet home...i'm from Zambia we used to go to the falls every year as a holiday. Its THE MOST beautiful thing. They have this thing where you can go to see the falls at night...and when theres a full moon you get rainbows...at night! Its so beautiful...Zambia is the most beautiful place. Miss home so much...

True. It's in Zambia and Zimbabwe. It's on the border. This video was shot in Zambia looking in the direction of Zimbabwe. I regret it has little to do with Romania or Canada.
True enough, technically Vic Falls is in Zimbabwe. Yet, this video was shot while standing in Zambia. Why? Because it's in the border between two countries, right?
I have no intentions of stealing Zimbabwe's pride. I just shot video.
