LMAO! u should actually try playing a bassoon before making one.... the airflow of the instrument should be opposite i.e. your first homemade bassoon. Thats why the fingerings are opposite of what you expect. *ex- college bassoonist*

Great job, much is learned from the experiments that need further investigation. Try a variety of bore diameters. If you make the finger holes very small initially, you can intonate each hole by gradually increasing the hole diameter untill you arrive at the pitch you desire. Enlarging the hole will result in a raising of the note. You can undercut the hole to improve the intonation in the upper registers.
