It's gotta be like Plastic Logic's "Que" e-reader, which they still have not released. Even if it only displays black & white, it will be a killer product. Making one like what they have here in this vid clip would be awesome. But, remember: light, thin, and with LONG battery life, with, of course, an 8.5 x 11 inch screen. DO IT RIGHT, OR DON'T DO IT AT ALL!
@agtheking Well better actually - most E-Paper sucks with videos or is even completely unable to do so. This plays videos with any trouble! Start getting excited. :)
@fossanl I was talking about the tech not the functionality. I'm guessing that the high refresh speed is a trade off from how long the screen can hold it's immage without a current?
@agtheking Not sure what you mean - do you mean you wonder if the higher refresh rate will sacrifice how long the screen can hold an image without a current?
In the video he's talking about a current refresh of 1Hz and "near-future variants" with less then 1Hz. So, I guess it's sort of a non-issue or will be soon enough.
@fossanl well i made a statement that i wondered if it was valid :) Reading up on it i was wrong in my understanding that E-ink also was based on electrowetting. Any way, there are a lot of new reflective screens getting on the market now. It's going to be fun to see what's really the best solution.
Was it just me or was he putting the emPHASIS on the wrong syLLABLE

So this is basically a e-paper type display produced with existing LCD manufacturing processes? Cool!

@agtheking I think this (Liquavista) and Pixel Qi have the most potential.
