A movement where the ellbow is lifted over the shoulder or taken behind the vertical body line is not useful. One can stop your right arm with one finger. The monkey stand looks as if you will fall backwards by yourself. Sorry, I´m not convinced.
That lady rocks. You guys sound misinformed about Taichi and martial arts at all. Strength come in all sizes and shapes. Why is it that an olympic weight lifter who can lift 300lbs can't do one finger stand? Trust me, don't judge a book by its cover because down the streets, you're going to get ur ass wooped by someone who don't look like it stupid...
OHMGROWNCRON; taoism is a religion. tai chi is a martial art and all of the people who invented tai chi were not taoists. and what about all of the people that have added to tai chi over the last 600 years? and how do you account for all the medical studys done in both in china and here america the say that tai chi improves health if its all so eazy?
hi i have been studying tai chi since 1997 and i would like to clear something up if i may. you get out of tai chi what you put into it! this lady may have spent years doing tai chi but it was most likely e-z taichi and short forms and thats good but you can really get into great shape and yes you can learn to fight useing tai chi! but you really have to work at it. nothing worth haveing in life comes eazy!
You're partly right, but the effortlessness and easiness comes only after many long years of intense practice, blood, sweat and tears. It looks easy when a true master performs a technique,it might even be easy to the master but not to a beginner.Look at the taoist masters of Wudang mountain, their martial art looks so easy and gentle but if you trained there for a while you'd see that it's not at all that easy, trust me!

lol have u pre-judicial butt heads heard of "dont judge a book by its cover"
judgement is good but sometimes it can offend people or not make sense or sound stupid judgement helps us stay alive every know and then but looks dont always matter....
and tai chi isnt made for young and healthy people its made for every one....i know a lot of old people who practice martial arts
....are u even healthy? i know what u mean cause when i want to learn tai chi i want to make sure they know what they know what they are doing but....looks arnt everything
you ignorant mother fuc$#s will obviously never be able to better yourselves. What matter does it make what she looks like, shes trying to teach people! On another note she probably would kick all your asses! Grow up and great video keep it up Jan!
If a skinny lil dude was teaching us how to bodybuild, we wouldn't listen to him. Why should we listen to a frail, unhealthy-looking person who teaches tai chi?
What do you want, a robust man or woman in their 20s??? And for your information, a lot of old Chinese people happen to know tai chi very well. Yes, your image of a "frail, unhealthy-looking person" would not be good for teaching the more aggressive martial arts, but it doesn't matter here because tai chi isn't so aggressive.
It's supposed to keep you healthy, so an old but healthy person would be a good idea(much better than someone who may drop dead at any moment). Plus, if you look at the way Tai Chi has been used historically, when people in China practice it it's done like an actual martial art, with strikes, throws etc. Over here in the states, most people do it like it's water-robics.
Personally, I don't know anything about tai chi... but what does it matter what she looks like? Why is everyone so shallow? I don't know if she's any good at this, but if she is, and she's trying to teach it to people, then how is that a bad thing?
hey pretty cool video, check out mine some time everyone and dont forget SUBSCRIBE they are hilarious and my olympics Video is sad but, check it out he broke his arm

It's made to MAKE people healthy. If someone doesn't appear healthy, I generally won't listen to their health advice without good reason.

That's true, but you can generally tell whether someone's healthy or unhealthy by looking.

The point of Tai Chi is to bring about rejuvenation of the body. Get in shape, look and feel younger and healthier.
..so I ain't taking lessons from the crypt keeper.
