In no way is this animal cruelty, look at the definition of cruelty:
the state or quality of being cruel.
2.
cruel disposition or conduct.
3.
a cruel act.
4.
Law . conduct by a spouse that causes grievous bodily harm or mental suffering.
in no way does this act cause harm or suffering. 1. the horse jumps on his own, 2. he is fed immediately after a delicious snack. notice where the animal is kept afterwords, it is clean and spacious. people stop being ignorant about this, seriously.
Geez Louise. That one's only 10 feet, and having had horses most of my life I can tell you that they LOVE the water (or at least most do) especially when racing because they are naturally very competitive. And I don't mean racing on a track for money. I mean racing across a grassy field or up a step rocky hill in the National Forest. Horses like alot of stuff, are smart enough to stand up for themselves. Ask around at the number of people that have been kicked, bitten or intentionally ditched.
@moralsforhitmen i TOTALLY agree. everyone is just being so darn ignorant. i guess its what comes about when they picture circuses but news flash this isnt one. <- to ignorant people
This a severe form of extreme animal cruelty!!! It makes me sad to be half American! Everyone involved in this needs to be forced to jump off a very high cliff into the ocean and left.
Horseracing is cruel..but this is just fine!..lol whatever lets all watch a horse be bribed into jumping in a pool and not think off the dangers because they do it all the time in the wild.
I checked the park's website. They give him a bucket of oats every single dive. He does his 1-minute performance 2x a day for 2 months of the year only on good-weather days and has no other jobs to do. Total 2 hours of work a year assuming it never rains: That's not cruelty, that's a sweet deal! And obviously it doesn't really bother him, he just looks around for a few seconds and goes for it. Fun for the kids to see at this child-oriented park!

I think he is fine, no cruelty involved. Hope he does get some other form of exercise, though. Good pony!

Aw he looks like he loves what he does. Adorable horse, and always nice to have some oats waiting for him when he's done. Love this video!
