but my tourney level characters are Falco, Peach and Marth. My friend who i play against often is a Toon Link/Fox/Ness player. I think the game isn't about characters I think its about knowing your opponent and what to expect. in tourney level games characters mean squat its all about how you deal with your opponent. At least in smash bros anyway.

he is not, he's almost the lightest character in the game. He also has a slow recovery for a character of his weight, if you can get kirby to miss a smash, you can easily beat the shit out of him.

1. Winning a tourney, regardless of the number of contestants, is not very hard to do, even with lvl 9 CPU's...computers are just drones and are very predictable once you get to know them

2.lucas and ness are, by no means, bad characters...some of the best brawlers i know absolutely pwn with lucas and ness

Yeah thats what im saying..i mean, there are ALOT of good characters in the game no doubt, but Snake is just so strong....his aerials are amazing, not to mention his standard and side A attacks. And Meta Knight? Oh Meta Knight...i play Meta Knight..lol. Not hard to get an very early KO on someone...Down Smash = Amazing. and basically all of his aerial attacks = win lol. Dont take it too seriously. Meta Knight, plus edge guarding is the easiest thing to do..lol

luigi's. some like zelda can own you with correct timing = inescapable. many if used by someone who knows what they are doing, will fuck you up. some are piss easy to escape. lucarios (easy to dodge, esp with someone like kirby) one i thought was pretty shit, but when he actually has damage on him it kicks ass. but yeah, some dodgeable, some not.

ya having final smashes on is like your being in a race and theres an item that appears randomly on the course and when ou get that item you jump to first, With the smash ball if it doesnt appear next to you youre pretty screwed sometimes...I personally play with zero items just because anybody canthrow a lightsaber at you but it takes your true skill to actually kill somebody on your own

Items are fun for messing around and playing for fun but they shouldn't be used in tourneys. Tournaments are there to see whose the best (Now I'm not saying items don't take skill) but it would be rather frustrating for someone you obviously know you can beat to owning you with the help of an item.

items are cool for big, four-man matches against friends of very different skill levels. However, in a real match against somebody of similar skill, especially one on one, it makes no sense to use items. Scenario: Pickachu vs. Peach. 3 stock. Let's say Peach gets Chu up to 90% while taking 45, then Chu uses thunder to snatch a smash ball and kills Peach. Peach comes back down and kills Chu. Then she get him to 120% and is at 55%. Same thing happens. Next stock, Chu completes a Dragoon. Game over

It´s not as bad as many say. But you have to get used to the shoulder button (B on Wiimote) and the fact that you don´t have analog-stick. I defintitely prefer the GC-Controller!
