  • Hi,

When I add the egg yolks, the chocolate always seizes up. Can you please tell me what I'm doing wrong? There is no water going into the bowl either (which would normally cause chocolate to seize). Please help!

  • dont stir the ganache 2 much or fast, you will get 2 many air bubble in it.

  • You're so cute. I tried to make it but it didn't puff up... I don't know anyone else who knows how to actually make a soufflé so could you tell me sort of what could've gone wrong? It's not the first time it happens, I should probably retrace my steps.

  • can I use cocoa powder instead of sugar for dusting?

    Like your measuring spoon =P

  • I. Don't Recommend taking out the souffle at 8 minutes if you notice that's why It didn't rise properly and once u open that oven door that's it ur done.

  • Ummm ok guys it takes 14 mins 8 is not right

  • why did she say egg yolks instead of egg whites?

  • i always thought you had to use a "water bath" for the souffle so that it bake evenly...

  • Is there any way that I can get this recipe on PAPER? an maybe modify it without the Grand Marnier please! Thank You!!

  • Thanks for the video! My souffle came out supah dupah awesome :)

  • Turning off the crappy music might help

  • Miss, your souffle looks exquisite.

I've just watched master chef and this was their challenge to get to final four. I want to cook this because the ingredients are accessible albeit it's quite difficult to make. The judges said it's one of the desserts that is feared by chefs. That intrigues me more.

You've made it look so easy. Thank you very much for this video! I'm looking forward for more. :)

  • @darcon81 It is pretty easy, its a false misconception that it isnt

  • Hi, I don't if I should say this but I'm getting an orgasm looking at you talk. Are you asian?

  • Comment removed

  • This really helped. i found something to give to my mother as a birthday gift.

    THANKS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! YOUR AWESOME XD

I just hope mines will taste good

  • she sounds like boxxy...

  • What is Grand Marnier? Is it necessary for the recipe?

  • @xarchaeceya its a alcohol drink and no its not necessary (:

  • @xarchaeceya it's an orange flavored cognac. Gran Gala and Contreau are less expensive comparable alternatives.

  • what is grand mariner? It isn't necessary for the recipe is it?

  • I think that wen u make another video like this u should put the ingredients on the info so people can see wat they need to make it

  • Cant wait to make this!!!! XD

    Looks YUMM!!!

  • @missprettydiana you can buy it at the local super market; i go to safeway or trader joe's - but a dark chocolate can also be used!

  • @honeysucklecatering Are you a pastry chef or something?

  • AW I LOVE YOUR VIDEO, YOUR SO PRETTY AND YOUR VOICE IS SO CALMING. I'M GONNA TRY THIS,JUST ONE QUESTION WILL IT COME OUT THE SAME IF I JUST USE A WHISP? CAUSE I DONT HAVE THE MIXER?

  • @MegaDove123 thank you! you are so sweet. :)

if you use a whisk, make sure you can do it at a really fast speed to break up the yolks! i've seen it done before but it does take quite a bit of work!

  • Hi! I would like to be in one of your videos. Is that possible :)

  • Do you have to eat it hot? If you put it in the fridge, would the Grand Marnier fudge turn solid?

  • @justl1keraven

i recommend eating it right away! you can fridge the souffle before baking but it is definitely better hot right out of the oven.

  • thanks for the amazing video. i just wanted to know if i can use a muffin pan. thanks again :)

  • @sweetstar1816

hi there! i recommend a souffle bowl just because it retains heat better. i haven't ever used a muffin pan, if you do let me know how it turns out!

  • At 4:48 you say egg yolks, do you mean egg whites or egg yolks?

and is there any use for the egg yolks?

  • @99teddybear she keeps saying egg yolks for the whipping but she means egg whites lol, 7 of them.. you only need 3 egg YOLKS

  • @dillpickleboocutie thanks :) I was pretty confused.. :S

  • @99teddybear lol! np! so was i, i didnt actually catch on i just assumed untill i saw your comment hehe :)

  • Just wanted to thank you for posting this. I made it for my fiancee when I proposed to her and it just made the night so much more special. =)

  • @swtee79 congratulations!!! i'm so happy to contribute to something so special!! hope you guys enjoyed the souffle. :)

  • Hi there! Love this video. What size are those souffle dishes?

  • @rhomarie1 they are 9 inch souffle bowls!

  • May I suggest you to mix the chocolate with creme patissiere, because it will make the filling and chocolate taste much much better. Just some suggestion!!

  • @W5T0n thank you! i shall try that next time. :)

  • Thank you for the video, it is very detailed. I am going to try to make that tomorrow.

  • hi, is there any way to make the Grand Marnier sauce with custerd powder. for example, the sauce will be yellow insted of all dark sauce.

  • Great video. Now I am inspired to make a souffle for a date night!

  • Duuudddde that looks delish!!!!

  • Your so hot

  • hello:)

do i have to use grand marnier to make the souffle

  • @deema95 Hi there, not at all. This is a different type of souffle but you can certainly make the plain chocolate one; just omit the grand marnier. :)

  • hey! tomorrow i want to make this for my boyfriend for after dinner. i was wondering approximetly how long it will take to complete and if you have a suggestion of when to start making it.

  • hey! tomorrow i want to make this for my boyfriend for after dinner. i was wondering approximetly how long it will take to complete and when you suggest to make it.

  • @caturibe Hi there - are you making the dinner as well? it takes about 30-40 minutes to prep and 20-25 minutes to bake. I would suggest making it while you make the dinner; it takes about 20-25 minutes to bake and cool, so while you're eating, set the timer and by the time you're done, it'll be ready! enjoy!! :)

  • @honeysucklecatering ,yes, i'm going to be m,aming a salmon

that doesnt take too long to make, but perfect! thank you so much:)

  • I was like "what kind of oven heats up to 500°?" until I realized it was in Fahrenheit. :)

  • I WANT ONE RIGHT NOW :D

  • Hi there . I'm a chef and think your tutorial is very well presented and easy to follow . Very well done . keep up the good work !

  • i guess she said egg yolk not egg white in 4:38 and 4:44 ppl just can't complaing because she is cute UHAUHUHA XD

  • @honeysucklecaring - i love all your cooking utensils... and love love the recipe cant wait to try it out.. i always thought it was harder to make.

  • I love it

  • wtf is grand mariner

  • its a type of liqueur

  • @scoutyboy11 it's a mix of cognac with orange its nice "orange licour" very good to make cosmopolitan and very common use it with banana flambé

  • that looked sooo good. i like the music btw!

  • good video and great recipe, thanks

  • once i mixed souffle with flambe and i set it on fire, i was an idiot

  • whats grand marnier

  • @khayztin Hi there! I found the small bottles at BevMo. They're the perfect size for cooking. I agree-the large ones are too much ;)

  • @honeysucklecatering I'm in Australia, and can't get Grand Marnier here. Are there any substitutes?

  • @StewieGriffin44: hi there, you can probably get orange liquer and mix it with a little bit of cognac (just as scoutyboy has mentioned as well) and it would be a great substitute!

  • Great video. Thanks. I reccomend that you select simpler background music for your next video, something purely instrumental and without a lead kazoo. Kazoos and voices complete with your light voice. Please make more.

  • thanks for the thought. We'll try that next time!

  • hey at 4.36 is yolk or white???

  • egg whites ;)

  • Thank for this amazing step-to-step guide!

It's very pleasing to listen to you.

  • Awesome! I will definitely try this! Question. How many does this recipe serve and is there anything different I should do if I use individual rammekins?

  • this is kinda silly but have u ever seen one of ur Soufflé flatten due to loud noise ???

  • where is the sound

  • @jomster447 try now :)

  • i have a question

why dont you just mix all the chocolate with the egg whites at 1 time?

  • You add some egg whites to the chocolate so you can make the chocolate mixture "lighter" so it doesn't cause the whipped egg whites to lose their stiffness when you mix the whole thing together.

  • Why dont you try it.... then you'll find out

  • Jelliebeanlemon: You can get those bowls at Cost plus, safeway, sur la table, or even crate and barrel! They are just called souffle ramekins. :)

Funtimeswithflames: Grand marnier is an orange liquer you can use for cocktails or cooking.

Cucumberflower: Lol! yes you caught me. Egg whites!

Felekin: Just make sure to whip the egg whites until they are stiff peaks so they are sturdy enough to hold up. And once you fold in the chocolate, it will deflate slightly but make sure not to overdo it.

  • where do you get thoses souffle bowl thingys that you cook them in

  • whats grand marnier

  • when u were whipping the eggs u said egg yolks but u meant egg whites right?

  • Is there a trick to make a souffle not deflate?

  • I've also been quite worried about souffle's, but your video made it look quite simple so thankyou and I'll give it a go :)

  • That's one big soufflé. I'm going to make this to impress a girl.

  • DELICIOUS... can you believe my prostart

teacher gave us an assignment to

WATCH how to make SOUFFLES on you

tube....? It made all of us SMILE when she

gave us that assignment! & Im going to

show my teacher this video. :)

  • OMG janel!!! we watched the same video hahaha

    show Ms. this video.

btw this girl is pretty haha

  • can we wisk by hand instead of using the electric mixer?

  • you could certainly use a hand mixer, although i don't think whisking by hand with a regular whisk will do the job properly... you can certainly try! do let me know how it turns out... :)

  • ofcourse you can whip the egg whites by hand, I do everything manually. Word of warning though, it takes a good 15 minutes of constant whisking for a weakling like me and it's challenging for your wrist

  • You should be on the Food Network!!!!! You kept my attention the entire time and your instructions are perfect! We will stay tuned in.... KEEP BELIEVING IN YOURSELF!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • thank you so much for your encouragement and support!! we'll definitely keep them coming soon! :) - honeysucklecatering

  • We actually just made this recipe tonight because of your awesome video. It was a success!!! Thank you for your great instructions- We will stay tuned, and recommend you to others as well. Thanks again!

  • wow this looks sooo good im going to try it

  • Its superb! I love it! Mmm...

Anyway, I have a neighbour who doesnt consume liquor, champagne, wine and stuff, so what should i substitute Grand Marnier to?

  • Since Grand Marnier is an orange liquer, i'd recommend substituting it with orange juice or even the Torani mandarin orange syrups! Enjoy :)

  • OMG dat looks soooooooooo gud but plzz turn the music off next time i cant really hear u.but thanks for da video

  • She looks and sounds like a sweetheart! ;-)

  • looks delicious! great video! =)

  • Excellent recipe. And I love the musical selection! Makes me smile.

    :D

  • 4:37
