heyy honeysucklee!! i have a question to ask....what can i use instead of grand marnier i noe the whole point is grand marnier but i want to know if there is smthn else i can use instead of it or if i just dont use it at all..PLEASEE REPLLY ASAP
When I add the egg yolks, the chocolate always seizes up. Can you please tell me what I'm doing wrong? There is no water going into the bowl either (which would normally cause chocolate to seize). Please help!
You're so cute. I tried to make it but it didn't puff up... I don't know anyone else who knows how to actually make a soufflé so could you tell me sort of what could've gone wrong? It's not the first time it happens, I should probably retrace my steps.
I. Don't Recommend taking out the souffle at 8 minutes if you notice that's why It didn't rise properly and once u open that oven door that's it ur done.
I've just watched master chef and this was their challenge to get to final four. I want to cook this because the ingredients are accessible albeit it's quite difficult to make. The judges said it's one of the desserts that is feared by chefs. That intrigues me more.
You've made it look so easy. Thank you very much for this video! I'm looking forward for more. :)
AW I LOVE YOUR VIDEO, YOUR SO PRETTY AND YOUR VOICE IS SO CALMING. I'M GONNA TRY THIS,JUST ONE QUESTION WILL IT COME OUT THE SAME IF I JUST USE A WHISP? CAUSE I DONT HAVE THE MIXER?
if you use a whisk, make sure you can do it at a really fast speed to break up the yolks! i've seen it done before but it does take quite a bit of work!
May I suggest you to mix the chocolate with creme patissiere, because it will make the filling and chocolate taste much much better. Just some suggestion!!
@deema95 Hi there, not at all. This is a different type of souffle but you can certainly make the plain chocolate one; just omit the grand marnier. :)
hey! tomorrow i want to make this for my boyfriend for after dinner. i was wondering approximetly how long it will take to complete and if you have a suggestion of when to start making it.
hey! tomorrow i want to make this for my boyfriend for after dinner. i was wondering approximetly how long it will take to complete and when you suggest to make it.
@caturibe Hi there - are you making the dinner as well? it takes about 30-40 minutes to prep and 20-25 minutes to bake. I would suggest making it while you make the dinner; it takes about 20-25 minutes to bake and cool, so while you're eating, set the timer and by the time you're done, it'll be ready! enjoy!! :)
@StewieGriffin44: hi there, you can probably get orange liquer and mix it with a little bit of cognac (just as scoutyboy has mentioned as well) and it would be a great substitute!
Great video. Thanks. I reccomend that you select simpler background music for your next video, something purely instrumental and without a lead kazoo. Kazoos and voices complete with your light voice. Please make more.
Awesome! I will definitely try this! Question. How many does this recipe serve and is there anything different I should do if I use individual rammekins?
You add some egg whites to the chocolate so you can make the chocolate mixture "lighter" so it doesn't cause the whipped egg whites to lose their stiffness when you mix the whole thing together.
Jelliebeanlemon: You can get those bowls at Cost plus, safeway, sur la table, or even crate and barrel! They are just called souffle ramekins. :)
Funtimeswithflames: Grand marnier is an orange liquer you can use for cocktails or cooking.
Cucumberflower: Lol! yes you caught me. Egg whites!
Felekin: Just make sure to whip the egg whites until they are stiff peaks so they are sturdy enough to hold up. And once you fold in the chocolate, it will deflate slightly but make sure not to overdo it.
you could certainly use a hand mixer, although i don't think whisking by hand with a regular whisk will do the job properly... you can certainly try! do let me know how it turns out... :)
ofcourse you can whip the egg whites by hand, I do everything manually. Word of warning though, it takes a good 15 minutes of constant whisking for a weakling like me and it's challenging for your wrist
