@solidgoldmakeup: Look at her closeup at 2:00. She has a lot of "fall-out" on her cheeks. If she put on her foundation first that excess eyeshadow would smudge into her facial makeup. W/ no foundation on she can just wipe away the excess shadow & THEN do the foundation.

Other gurus use a heavy dusting of translucent powder under the eyes to catch the fall out so it doesn't ruin their foundation. When they are done with the eyes they dust it off. Makeupbyleinabaaaby uses that trick a lot.
