I want to build one! And I'm having delusions of grandeur of what I can do with a 4 or 6 BT (6BT = cummins 5.9 in dodge trucks and 4BT = same thing minus 2 cylinders so 3.9L)
Some may say overkill I say awesome its not the extra power but it was a learning process, alot of fabrication, motor alignments But the are about 5 or 6 times and year i lose my power for 8 hours or more. I wanted something to keep my fridge cold, home cool or warm in extreme temps, be able to run my well pump, I know i could run all that stuff on a smaller gen but what the hell i have the resources to create this. The hot tub i basically ran that to load test the generator
thanks, it wasnt the easiest project. I have some fine tuning to do and i am gonna start to paint the frame john deere green, plus i got material to start making a enclosure for it. Hope to have it done and in place by winter
