My brother came home yesterday from his 1'st tour of duty, I thank God for bringing him home safely. Just want to add not all deployments are for killing people. Humanitarian deployments are going and helping countries organize and make a better system for themselves. Helping clean up damaged areas. God bless everyone no matter what the are deployed to.

I'm the wife of an Army Ranger. This year will be the 4th holiday season we have been apart. You see, my husband has been deployed 8 times to both Iraq and Afghanistan.........it never gets easier!

This is such a great song. Not to long ago my uncle was away in Iraq for christmas. that was the hardest christmas ever. now i am engaged to a vet who wants nothing more then to go back over to iraq but cant because he is to injured to serve full time. he served 1 tour in Iraq and his Bradley was hit and he was injured then. My heart is hurting now as one of my best friends Sgt. David Rodriquez is serving in his 2nd tour in Iraq. He is away from his 4 kids and wife right now.

These fine soldiers are the best of the best and I love each and every one of them as if they were my own.

I was stationed in Irag in 2009 and on Christmas we did basically like the song says.I'm just glad we weren't attached on the Christmas Day that would have sucks up that day big time.

I know it is after Christmas but i still like this song. I am fixin to be 19 and my daddy joined the Army 2 years ago and after 17 years of seeing him every Christmas. The past 2 have been really sad, but i know he is safe and miss him very much. and i cant wate to see him ageen. HOOAH!

This song means a lot to me because two of my cousins are in the armed forces, and one of them can't be home for Christmas this year. We worry about both of them, and I love them with all my heart. This one goes out to Rob and Brian! Semper Fidelis and God Bless!

This is such a great song. Not to long ago my uncle was away in Iraq for christmas. that was the hardest christmas ever. now i am engaged to a vet who wants nothing more then to go back over to iraq but cant because he is to injured to serve full time. he served 1 tour in Iraq and his Bradley was hit and he was injured then. My heart is hurting now as one of my best friends Sgt. David Rodriquez is serving in his 2nd tour in Iraq. He is away from his 4 kids and wife right now.

My dad retired from the Navy and he's missed half of the Christmas holidays while I was growing up, so these kind of songs really hit home with me. I love my dad and appreciate his service.

I'm glad that my husband will be home for this holiday, but I know in the future we might not be so luck. I'm proud to be apart of the Air Force Family and the military family. I hope that everyone has a great Christmas and those who are over seas have a quiet Christmas.

I'm not a military person, but I know some people who are a part of the Army... He'll be here for Christmas, but I still think of all the other strong people over there who don't get to see their kids running to the Christmas tree on December 25, and it makes me cry. I think for the 27 dumbass people who dont like this need to go over seas and stand in front of our soldiers during christmas since they want stand behind them becasue that what this song is about. I heard this on the radio two days ago and I had to find it. And I know that some soldiers won't be able to come home for the holidays. So this is to all the soldiers that serve our country. @imhorses I am so sorry you are away from family and friends during holidays I do sympathize with you because I have a son in the same situation. He is in the army in Afghanistan and hopefully be home to visit in January. I know how it feels not to see him. I can not even begin to understand how life would be over there. I just know its got to be different. I will keep you in my prayers for all of our troops. Please stay strong!! Thank You for defending our country.

we put christmas packages together for my cousin two years in a row when he was in iraq. we were raised more like brother and sister than cousins..i'm so glad he will have Christmas with his wife and daughters this year <3

For someone who doesnt really sing this song is the best Rodney Carrington has released. My brother was in Iraq in 2004 so I know what these families go through and its not easy for the troops or the families. This song says it, it brings tears to my eyes every time I hear this song.

I'm just a civilian who had the honor and pleasure of serving with these fine men and women for several months, in Iraq. I cannot help to shed a tear... or two... every time I watch this video. These fine soldiers are the best of the best and I love each and every one of them as if they were my own.
I was honored to work beside them and can only wish their safety and return home when their mission is complete.

I have a nephew who served in Iraq, and a grandson who served in Afghanistan. They both came came home safe. This video by Rodney Carrington brings it all in

This song hits close to my heart. I am a US Navy Vet and I remember how hard it was to deployed over the holidays away from family. But duty comes first. Even though I am not in anymore, I still wont forget there are service member still deployed over the holidays. May god be with you all.

To me Christmas is just about being happy and being with the people you love, and if you ask me, that's for everyone.
