Experience in a Finals the year before maybe means Malone doesn't choke FTs in game one or that the Jazz don't wilt in game five.

They lost game one at the buzzer after Malone missed two free throws that would've put the Jazz up two. That's pressure. Maybe getting to the big stage in 1996 would have put him in position to make those free throws in game 1. Jazz win there and it's an entirely different series.
