Actually it was live and she definitly wasn't lip synching because I was there in the audience and she sounded amazing! She's a great singer!

She is not lip synching. There is one part of the song at 1.26 after her falsetto where she pulls the mic away on the word "happy" - what you hear is the back track where she sings "happy". This is intentional. You will also hear her on the backtrack at other parts too, but the main vocals are live. If you see other videos where she does this song with backtrack, you will see what I mean. Leona never lip synchs.

I agree, she isn't lip synching here, it's a backing vocal to give more depth the sound, because she obviously can't sing two lines at once!! but anyway if she ever did lip sync occasionally when really tired or sick, then that's not bad, it's wise!!! She's awesome!

It makes me laugh really, cause the fact that people are arguing about whether she is singing live or not, just goes to show what a truly superb singer she is! For the record, I agree in saying that I think she is miming here. But at the end of the day......who cares! She usually does sing live, and that's all that matters! I expect most artists have mimed at various times in their career, let's be honest! It's not a crime folks! I for one, am personally proud of what Leona Lewis has achieved! X

I LOVELOVE Leona but I do think she was lip-synching. Still, she must have a good reason cos she never usually does. Nevertheless, it's still amazing. :)

this was awesome! i hope it's not lipsynced - she's an amazing singer, no reason to lipsync. if you're sick, just say you are sick and sing it anyways.

singers of this calibre lipsync occasionally if sick or tired because if you strain vocal cords too much you get vocal nodules which are hard little growths on the cords and they can totally ruin your voice, best to rest or lipsync till the sickness passes. She's amazing huh!!

@G2PiMP4u : maybe cuz she alwyas sings like her cd's. She's perfect. But Indeed maybe that was live, but not really higher. That still was a C6 and maybe a C#6, that's just a half note higher xx
