3 in a Row looks like it requires a little luck and knowledge. Once you have the years all you need is a good strategy. I don't mind John's flubs there; as long as he had a sense of humor there it was all right; I guess that where the rumors that he can't read came about. The Time Capsule round looks okay and very simple but is just has that Price is Right feel to it. The players have done a good job but I don't know if they do good on Jeopardy with the knowledge required here.
Good example of the many format changes in this short-lived series. The sound effects have stuck with me twenty-three years; they all sound intimately familiar. Nice to see an episode without the jukebox game; they always seemed to overplay it.
Diss John Davidson all you want, but his bad hosting is actually funny, especially with the way he keeps mistaking Mickey Mouse for Mighty Mouse here.
If they used nine monitors on the 3-in-a-Row game, they could've displayed the other events for the record.

I wish a show like Time Machine was on now. I'd love to see something like this on the air now.

this game takes no skill, but seems to have awsome prizes for the time. Overall this show is dumb.

Catch is you have to win the Time Capsule to keep your prizes.

He guessed 1966?? That was when we heard music groups from motown and the British.

I remember this show slightly. What time slot was this in, and how long did it last?
vintagetv 3 years ago
It was on NBC at 10:00 a.m., and it lasted only 16 weeks.

Got a chuckle out of 6:40...seemed like Davidson thought he was hosting TPIR for a minute!
