pedal rocks! when you know how to use it, dude you need practice, not only with the pedal, your drumming is so offbeat it sounds like you need lots of practice

when you practice double pedal, practice fills and reverse fills till your calves burn, then you will enjoy it much more

damn I hardly ever see anyone rock the axis shortboard these days. Thats classy. Looks like your left pedal action is a bit funky bc it doesnt rebound back far enoungh. That can really make it hard when you wanna play alot faster. Make sure that the center of gravity is between your pedals and that your pedals is clamped to the bass drum evenly to help improve this. Also make sure your drive shaft is angled so that the two swivel parts are symettric. This helps keep response even.

@dopewithabass They are just littlebit too expensive. Those axis pedals cost 900$ here, and 550$ in the US. I'm probably going to america this year and it would be a good buy to buy the axis pedals there, because I can sell them here at the same price even if I had used them for a few years. Demon Drives cost 650$ and are not much more here, so it wouldn't be as good purchase. I'm willing to put max 400$ on the pedals but I could get the axis pedals basicly free, with DD's I would loose money.

@killswitchavenger you could just look at Arti Dixson's bass drum riser if you want to position the pedals better. Thats what I use because my double bass (not these) are so off center, and theyre built so weird that if i move them, the bass drum becomes off balance.

@erikimba first: everybody uses his own pedals- and adjustments . my opinion: some people can play faster and clearlier with axis, because you can adjust them in a very very light way; that there "current is very light".

Other pedals, for example iron cobras or dw´s, are constructed in a very hard way, with very heavy materials. Axis are very light in their building.

So; its about what you like: a strong , heavy feeling when playing, or a very light .

get a ddrum acoustic bass trigger of ebay, they are cheap, as for a module, try...ddrum, alesis-dm5, roland td range or yamaha dt range. you only need a bass sound so a really basic module will do, just make sure your happy with the samples b4 you buy it. you will also need a drum or keyboard amp.

Using Iron Cobras over time probably make your technique better and faster in the long run since they're smooth enough to get proper technique but heavy and powerfull enough to develope strength and endurance. If you practiced on axis pedals all the time i would imagine it'd take longer for your technique to develope, but once the technique is there you can go faster. If i were rich I'd say practice with iron cobras and perform with axis.
