  • just wondering... but is this a song that the main character Songhwa in Seopyeonje was learning at one point in time??

  • pansori is like opera

    amazing!!!!!!

  • Hey wow, Korean music that I *like*!

  • This is not actually the traditional pansori...

    I guess the best thing to call it would be changgeuk, because pansori is basically a one-man show, and the presented version has all the characters acting out each part. ^^

  • Pan so ri is so similar to Rap.

    it's the reason why koreans accept western culture,Rap naturally.

    already there are reports too^^

  • pansori IS very similar to rap. representing the common humanity stemming from the two cultures that brought forth these wonderful artforms to the world. however please distinguish rap from the West. Although much of the modern day rap we know comes out of the West. It is NOT Western. It's African. So therefore it is the Korean and African traditions which carry this common humanity through song not the West....

  • yeah i know!^^ i just said Pansori is very similar to rap. Of course Pansori isn't the western! lol

  • abcdefghijklmnopqrstuvwxyz

  • i adore Korean folk music...

  • Just for those who don't understand what's going on: this is a scene from the madang Heungbuga, the story of Heungbu and Neolbu. Neolbu (pink) has come to visit his previously poor brother Heungbu and has found him to have suddenly gained in wealth.

    Heungbu's wife, being insulted by Neolbu, tells him to leave and not return.

    I think you can guess the rest from there;;;

    It's a fun story with a good message. 8D

  • Omg I love this! I'm not Asian and I am a westerner. Wish I could go to Korea!

  • I like pansori. It's so cool. Even though it's old and cacophonic to westerners.
