Can anyone today match the power and intensity of this song, this voice? Scott's voice shakes the walls of the room. A sad, lonely song - one that many of us can relate a part of our life to.
Anyone else ever heard the amazing version by Verdelle Smith? Issued over here on the Capitol label........1966? 67? As beautiful as Scott Walker's version. An amazing song anyway!
Very Very True, Been in love with him since I was 12 years old. The voice of angels cannot be better. What would I do without the music and voice of Nowl Scott Engel why there wouldn't be anything left, just a huge void.
Wow this is a great song! Its crazy how they decided what would be a hit and what wouldnt. It has resulted in alot of fun digging and discovery though!
you can find most of their stuff on a complilation called Scott in Five Easy Bites. I think..Walker Bros stuff is available on cd...eat your hearts out, I have it all on lps, you know the old stuff !!
was expecting the beach boys song. Pretty good for that time. Reminds me of like the turtles, beau brummels, buffalos, crests, association, and about thirty other sixties bands.
Kudos to you! I wore all mine out and despaired of ever being able to find all the songs again on CD. I have found them - and more! Never dreamed the Walker Brothers would become so popular this far on, but I am very grateful. They were one of the very best bands of the late 60's, early 70's. Scott Engel's voice is a beautiful, tortured instrument.
remember this one well. The Walkers were my older sister's favorite band....Scott's still has this awesome voice. Thanks for the memories. Oh how time flies.......

This song should have been a single!
It had hit written all over it!
Would have been a good follow up to The Sun Aint Gonna Shine Anymore!
