i tell u one coach who could be in the conversation is jim calhoun and i'm far from uconn fan. big east u get very few cupcake games like in other conferences. B east is stacked top to bottom and has been for years. debate that! problem with jim is he doesnt have any charisma or flamboyant personality that gets him noticed like other coaches.

Wooden was the best college bball coach. He won 10 national championships in his last 12 years as a coach. In my opinion Bobby Knight wasn't even close to Wooden.

You tool. Wooden only coached 27 years, not 42. Most career wins is a testament to longevity plus success not just success; in Knight's case, mostly longevity. I agree with you about Dean Smith over Knight. Try this on: Wooden career 671-161 - .806%, 10 championships. Smith career 879-254 - .776%, 2 championships. Knight career 902-371 - .709%, 3 championships. There IS NO debate about the greatest college coach ever. You Knight Kool-Aid drinkers are dreaming. Knight = best dickhead ever

See the stats above. The numbers don't lie. My high school football coach had multiple undefeated seasons. I guess that makes him better than Knight, too. Knight might the "bes" coach ever, but he is not the best, by far.

I will greatly miss Mr. Knight's outbursts and antics like this video exemplifies so well. Sad to see him go. But what's with all these coaches bolting midseason?
