  • Well i must be lucky, i drink a heck loads of coke, lemonade, fanta, etc etc, yet, im thin, healthy, active.... Then again, i dont live in America xD

  • To much suger.... thats why diet coke was invented

  • F*** soft drinks! Drink beer.

  • I drink soft drinks because they taste good and i drink alot a day but im not over weight

  • It's just food.... Once you conquer your food addictions, you discover there is so much joy in other activities as well as in healthy foods. Your taste buds actually awaken and everything starts to taste so good! I'm now 90% raw and it's awesome! My mind is so clear, I feel much more intelligent and sharp. My memory has improved!!!

  • hello, i stop drinking coffe because it gave me headaches all the time. and i said, i wiil keep drinking soda at least, but after watching your video, it makes me realize how bad soft drinks are for you, no benefit whats so ever, so now im drinking green tea with no sugar all the time, and i actually like it, with my meals. thank you soo much for all your information. GOD BLESS YOU.

  • @LameEmily Proud of you! Hope you're keeping smart and not giving in to weaknesses which will only make you sick and dumb! It takes willpower and smarts to make a change - keep improving your food habits. I have greatly improved mine the last 2 months, I feel great, and on Monday I'm starting my first ever 10 day Master Cleanse to release all the toxins built up over the years. After I'm done I'll have the best food habits ever. Gotta put the right fuel in for the body to perform at its best!

  • i used to drink diet 7up as a part of a routine of work because i work in a restaurant, when i realized that soft drinks wasn't good for me i stopped immediately, i started to drink water instead of diet 7up, at certain point i started to crave for diet 7up, it's that possible? the only way to stop the sicking feeling in my stomach was to drink a little bit of diet 7up, then i realized that i had an addiction for this drink. you know what? makes me stop even more quickly. thanks

  • Tell them about antacids too.

  • your video was so persuasive. thank you for all your videos. i belive that you inspired lots of people including me to eating healthier foods and drinks. thank you

  • Okay I took your challenge and it has actually been 7 days now. I had to go off the caffeine so I really didn't have cravings for cokes. It was jut the massive headaches from going off the caffeine. The past 2 days no headaches finally but now the cravings have started. I also notice the cravings when I eat things I normally have a coke with like pizza. I'm sticking to it though. After the report coming out linking soda and pancreatic cancer. My grandmother died of that and it was horrible!

  • You didn't say anything about RED BULL so I guess the two cases I got today are ok?

  • shes so beautiful..

  • why does the can of pepsi say 41g of sugar and the 2 liter bottle says 27g of sugar

  • Hey how about natural soda that are made with fruit juice and mineral water? Are they a better choice when you want to drink soda

  • Hi sexy Natalie, you do not talk of Aspartame in diet drinks. It causes seizures, tumours and cancer and is addictive. An idea would be to switch to fruit juice drinks or as you say water. Its a good video.

  • PEOPLE! do not drink diet related anything in drinks. that shit they put in it, you know, aspartame, fucks your brain up and causes all kinds of free radicals and shit. I would fear the artificial sugars than the high sugars they put in these drinks. If you don't believe me, look it up. If you want some big ass tumor feasting on your brain, keep drinking that diet shit.

  • Soda lol.. used to sleep over at buddies houses and viceversa drinking .. prolly .. 3 or 5 cases of Soda half each .. man .. good times.. goood times.. now i can barely stand to drink a 2 litter in 2 days... luckily ive kinda given up on soda.. but i am addicted to Sprite... that damn soda.. replaced my Mt.Spew. For every soda i drink i down a half gallon of water and drink 2 cups of milk..... im always running out of milk... and its getting expensive .. my houses water is damn good & tastey.

  • I very rarely drink soft drinks. By rarely I mean 2 or 3 cans a year and when I do drink them I choose Ginger Ale, (though I am about to go read up and probablly find out that Ginger Ale is just as bad).

  • hey guys check out my weird videos

  • natalie, what about 100% juice from oceanspray? isn't the sugar in that just as bad as soda? you think you could explain what fruit juice would be the best and worst to drink?

  • I would drink more soft drinks, if they had less sugar, as I find them much TOO SWEET!

  • Excuse me madam? i want to drink your cum...........

  • why would you want to drink cum? What men does that?

  • i want to drink her cum

  • She is completely right. Oprah did a show today about sugar and diabetes. Harvard study show that some who drinks 1 soda a day has 83% chance to become type 2 diabetes and not to mention 10 pounds a year. So lets beat the system and make a choice to change. We say we want change but very few of us do. Visit my page and see a solution for soft drinks or beverages. Let's beat the system and win!

  • !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!11

  • ULTIMATELY THIS CRAP MUST ALL COME FROM satan, keeping people addicted to anything that kills us, where else would that come from?? Stupid people !!!! Yep, I'm one of them, and the prisons are full of them...sugar addiction starting in childhood leads to adult addiction for sugar, caffeine, alcohol and drugs because addiction is a way of life no matter what you are feeding it with.

What have we done to our children...pray we can stop the madness, sounds like a good new cause for facebook!!!

  • It's fine to be addicted, just make sure you know exactly what it is doing to you, and how you can kick off the habit in short notice.

Addictions occur in most people anyway. It could be a good informed one or one that is runaway and dangerous.

  • @TheTaminski It does not come from satan at all. Its from USA. Oh... right... Never mind.

  • ALL THINGS EVIL COME FROM satan, we use them become we are sinners, because of satan, from the beginning, but THANK GOD, WE HAVE A CHOICE, that is what seperates us, those who decide they want to follow GOD and refuse the deception, and those who don't...I pray for those in the battle to give it all to GOD and they will win, can't do it without HIM. GBU

  • @TheTaminski Did this satan guy come up with evolution too?

If God let satan live God is also evil.

  • God is NOT evil, satan, Lucifer was one of HIS angels, but wanted to be like GOD and revolted, so he was cast out of Heaven, it was his free will and his choice ...we sinned in the garden of eden because we also were created with a free will and the choice of good or evil, or obedience to our creator or NOT...but our GOD GIVING THE ANGELS AND HUMANS FREE WILL IS FAR FROM EVIL, AND GOD would not have sent HIS SON, JESUS TO DIE FOR MANKIND SO THEY COULD HAVE SALVATION IS FAR FROM EVIL...I W PRAY 4U

  • @TheTaminski #LOL you .... you.. you are not normal man... i think you drink to much soda....

  • @TheTaminski #LOL you .... you.. you are not normal man... i think you drink to much soda.

  • @TheTaminski #LOL you.... you.. you are not normal man i think you drink to much soda.

  • this woman is very smart and helpful for nutrition. and i swear to god i think she is the most BEAUTIFUL women i have ever seen

  • do you always need to judge women based on their looks?

  • If you had to tell the difference between a male and a female, I have to use some form of appearance or superficial identification.

Human beings use looks to decide who to mate with, who looks healthy or who is desirable sexually.

If I had to judge a human being holistically, then looks has a low priority.

  • so you intend to mate with her? and furthermore you intend to let us all know about it? i don't really think you can use biology as an excuse for superficially commenting on her looks. and not all pretty people are healthy.

  • I've been drinking especially diet coke for a long time. I've been drinking it despite I'ma doctor and really KNOW how harmful it is . It contributed to a lot of my being overweight. This is the day I'm giving it up. I'll post my comment after one week. Thank you for giving such useful information.

  • this is my day 32 without soft drink and on water! and i feel so good

  • man, I clicked on this vid with a pepsi in hand, at the end of the vid I had to pour it down the sink.

My family always made soft drinks a reward. If you got good grades you get a coke. or when you needed to take medicine you got to take it with a coke to help combat the yucky medicine taste.

  • i dont like soft drinks :S yuck, they've always made my belly feel full and gross and i never drink it

  • Same, they're disgusting.

  • i quit drinking it when i was like 12. there is like an ounce of sugar in one can of coke. thats nasty to think about.

  • When I was a child I was forbidden from drinking them and most of the time we didn't have money for them anyway. So I got used to just drinking tap water.

  • Natalie, what about the organic soft drinks, like Steadz? The ingredients seem fine, and they taste good too. I like soda because I like something with a little zing to it, not flat. Water is nice, but I like flavor too.

  • Steaz drink not steadz

  • Fruit teas, which don't actually have tea leaves in them would be good. I often buy them at this tea place, where they have all sorts of mixes. My mom hates tea and even she drinks it. She brews it in the summer and then cools it. In the winter, she drinks it warm.

  • i'm watching your this video because you recomended to watch it in another video of you called how to beat suger .. I think your way is gonna work so i'm gonna try it !! thanx you look so pretty!!

  • pretty lady :)

  • My parents never even buy soft drinks i hardly drink them and they hardly buy any sweet stuff....EvEr

  • good f0r u

  • PLEASE READ IF YOU HAVE ANY SENSE!did she mention that if you are fat or have a couple of extra pounds thats more of a good thing? people have the erge to eat because after ears of evolution our bodies are designedto eat while you you can . true you should not OVER induldge *my spelling sucks srry* but we are made that why because if there is a time when you cant get food *stuck in the woods are something* your body is designed to use all that fat. when you eat fatty foods you have something-

  • fat cells. fat cells NEVER go away, they simpley shrinke when you lose weight and blow back up when you gain weight. now in a survival situation all the extra fat that you have stored u in your fat cells are used to keep you alive. your body feeds of those fat cells , basicaly cannibalism i guess, but it uses those to keep you going. now hen you run out of fat cells, or you dont have any, your body starts to feed of your musicles. thats bad. you dont wont to get to that point.

  • I dont really like water, what can I drink instead of softdrink that still has flavour? is it okay to have juice or is there too much sugar in that too? I only tend to drink water when I'm exercising or its summer.

  • I didn't like water either. You ahve to find out first whether you prefer lukewarm or ice water. Trust me they taste different. Also, it depends on what type of of cup. I prefer plastic over glass. I know it sounds funny but it's true. I also drink tea sweetened with Stevia. Lost nine pounds so far. I am on my ninth day. HAHA. I can't wait until I loose 50 pounds. :P

  • drink cordial...

  • I survived the 5 day challenge. I drank only water with the exception of one small glass of apple juice and milk. I have lost 6 pounds total and I am no longer needing to take naps at 4pm. I also stopped eating fast foods because it was too difficult to not get a coke in the drive thru. Thanks for the info.

  • i quit

  • I will be doing this challenge starting tomorrow.

  • i used to smoke weed, and cigarettes, and drink a ton of soft drinks, and eat like shit! then I started watching natalies videos and all at once i quit doing all of those things, and so far over a span of about a month and a half I still have not smoked anything, or drank anything other than water, and i have already dropped 16 pounds!!! i also make sure to count my calories for everything i eat to make sure i don't go over my recommended daily value, and it works GREAT!!!!!!! Thanks Natalie!!

  • Lol yeah weed makes you hungry

  • iv tried, and for some reason i feel less anxious. dont know if i cant totaly stop drinking it thou.

  • omg, your gullible

  • What about black tea? Black tea has caffine, but it also has aox. Can I still drink black tea without suger or artificial sweetner??(or maybe a little suger?)

  • hay natalie

tomorrow I'm at day 5 of the challenge and I already feel so much better! I'll never go back to drinking soft drinks again (I drank only diet soft drinks but those are deffinitely just as bad!!). I feel great now! Thank you :-) keep up posting the videos, they are great!

  • i will stop drinking pop for five days. see if i get a headache soon .crap

  • This girl really knows what shes talking about if anything listen to her.

  • Yeah She Probaly Has A High Iq Or Shes Reading A Script But She Probaly Has A High Iq

  • I just realised that I was sipping on my diet coke all trough the video:S I'm gonna stop, now.

  • Yeah But Diet Coke Rocks

  • But water is so much more expensive than coke:(

  • Or you could get a water filter, you'll spend money for it, but you won't pay for water again lol

  • Thanks Natalie, Great video. As much as anything, the drinking of soda is a symptom of a attitude towards sugar and diet. Also, if you looked at people that drink soda on a daily bases. You might also find more dental health problems. Natalie, also you have a awesome smile.

  • A friend of mine lost 25 pounds just by getting rid of soda. Nothing else!

I have the rare soda now, and drink a ton of water. Juice I have 1 serving every few days. It's 100% cranberry juice, maybe with another fruit like raspberry or pomegranate. You do feel a ton better after getting rid of soda!

  • I would do this challenge but I don't drink soft drinks

  • im addicted to yr videos

  • Comment removed

  • WOOT! My little brother is gonna try the challenge! YEHHHH! "hurts so good, c'mon baby make it hurt so good, sometimes the truth don't feel like it should but baby, it hurts so good!"

  • First of all I need to say: Natalie you're awesome! Your videos help me a lot to stay motivated to maintain my new healthy lifestyle and to get back in track whenever I couldn't resist and ended up eating crap...

Now, here's my question to you: I drink nothing but Water and Tea(NO SUGAR!). You said caffeine dehydrates the body. Doesn't green tea dehydrate too? I drink lots of Japanese Green Tea, so is this bad? How about Pu-erh tea?

Could you make a video on good teas/drinks to drink? thanks

  • I'd try to be a model

  • something called metabolism, and I'd really stop doing all of that as soon as possible, mid twenties you'll start to feel the effects of what ur doing, and you're most likely going to have a huge amount of health problems down the road, seriously, take it down a notch

u prob. have like plaque building up n ur arteries and veins right now that's gonna be really nasty later on,

try 2 eat tuna, salmon, FLAX SEED OIL, walnuts, lean meats, fish, poultry, nuts, seeds, healthy ways 2 gain weight

  • up your calorie intake, BUT NOT NASTY CALORIES from fast foods and so forth, increase protein intake, get off of those sugars, calories w/ nutrition is what you gotta do, you can find calorie and nutritiion guides online to track your intake if you make a goal of a weight u wanna be at you can calculate what you need to do on paper, and how to get there via a healthy route rather than via junk food route

  • Call me natalie! My number is 5280543

  • I stoped drinking soda and started drinking water, and I have to say that I feel way better =]

    thanks I love your videos

  • She is one GORGEOUS BABE!!!!!!

  • hi, no one might even care but i took this challenge in april this year and ive been soft drink free since then the first month was hard but now all i drink is Nutrient waters and some juices and plenty of water i used to weigh 130 kg i now way 110 kg and ive never been happier.

  • Soft drink challenge huh?! That's a tough one. Diet Coke will go bankrupt if I quit! Well I use to drink a six pack everyday, lol. Now after watching this video and being so well marketed by the Coca Cola company I feel a slight revenge is in order. Perhaps that will be the determining factor to give up on coke. Do you think I should drink wine instead? I heard it's better for you. I use to listen to the two pharmacist on NPR every Sunday morning. It was about flavornoids.

  • Everyone knows if yo want a simple adjustment just switch to diet soda

  • See videos

Diet Soda Makes People Fat? - Clinical Nutrition

Aspartame, NutraSweet, Artificial Sweetener & Diet Soda

Sugar Alternatives, Aspartame to Stevia, Nutrition Austin

Top 10 Worst Drinks - Nutrition by Natalie

  • Oh really then how come I am losing weight from switching from one regular soda to one diet soda

  • Watch the videos.

You might try seeing how much weight you lose in two weeks. Then don't drink diet soda for two weeks and see if you lose more or less weight.

Also, there are whole lot of fat people that drink diet soda. If all weight loss was simple as drinking diet soda, 60% of Americans wouldn't' be over weight and we wouldn't have diet aids, diet, fitness instructors, etc.

  • I have been of soft drinks and fastfood for about a week and now I only drink water though out the day and I love it! I noticed my skin is clearer than ever and I have fewer headaches. Now I bake like brownies and other sweet stuff once a week so I don't have to buy candy with alot of crap in them. I also used to eat a chocolate bar for brekfast but I but an end to that. Thank you, Natalie for changing my life for the better! hugs, Tove

  • if you consume diet coke, or even just artificial sugar, does your body have the same response as it does when you consume real sugar?

  • It can actually cause an insulin response in people, the sweetness triggers it because the body is conditioned to associate that sweet sensation with high blood sugar and so it immediately start pumping out insulin.

Since the diet soda doesn't have sugar in it, the person blood sugar crashes and they get hungry.

Diet drinks obviously don't initially elevate blood sugar like sugar soda does though.

  • @psychetruth

Insulin is released when the beta islet cells of the pancreas detect elevated levels of glucose in the blood. When insulin is released it causes cells throughout the body to store glucose thus reducing levels in the blood. diet coke has 0 glucose.

  • @JackJackKcajify

Aspertame is GMO. Look up GMO on youtube.

  • @crayons heart diet sodas have aspartame that is the fecal matter of a bacteria wiki it know what u consume

  • @sjm8890 No no no. Absolutely not, so called "diet" drinks and "light" drinks are more dangerous than regular soft drinks, don't drink it. I speak not only from knowledge but experience as well.

  • What about drinking Carbonated water like Perrier or Peligrino?

  • Giving up soda is probably one of the BEST things that anyone can do for his or her health. Sodas are loaded with empty calories that most people probably don't even count as part of their daily caloric intake.

I swore off soda five years ago. Almost right away I dropped three sizes, and I had tons of extra energy where normally I'd feel really tired for no reason. Kudos to all who challenge themselves to give up the fizzy stuff. It's hard; after awhile you won't even miss it. I know I don't!

  • for me, it's actually kind of easy to not drink soft drinks. I haven't drank any for 2 weeks just because I forgot. Yay for me!!!

  • mmmmmmmmmmm. yum. daddy like.

  • no no no no underweight

  • I've made numerous gradual improvements in my diet since finishing college four years ago. That being said, swearing off soda for good six months ago has definitely been the highpoint in my transition to a healthier lifestyle. Today I find that I have absolutely zero cravings for the stuff. After drinking only water for so long, soft drinks are just plain unappetizing to me now (coming from a guy that averaged a Dr. Pepper a day through his teens and early twenties).

  • I've been coke free for 4 weeks straight now! I drink water mostly now, but with an occasional sugar drink, perhaps two a week at the most. I haven't stopped eating candy though, maybe this is a good time to see if I can go five days straight with no candy?

  • yep yep, go for it.

    See video "overcoming sugar addiction"

  • Gosh, I have to do and watch this for homework for health class. Oh well, I never drank soda anyways! It's evil! It owns weapons of mass destruction! Rarely is the question asked: Is out children learning? Next Question! Fo Shizzle!!! YEAHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH!!!!!!!!!!

  • Hello. I drink a 1.5 litre bottle of pepsi max every day. Thanks to this movie I am more aware of the dangers of consuming this drink. I will do my best to stay off pepsi for at least 5 days (going to be hard).

  • Hi, I've been off soft drinks for about 3 weeks now, and I'm still finding it really difficult. I seem to have a sore throat all the time, and I really have to clench my fists every time I go past the 7-11. It still seems hard.

However, I've lost about 4kg and am liking my appearance a lot more.

Although I don't drink my family has a history of alcoholism, do you think that there is a relationship between sugar addiction and alcohol addiction.

I really enjoy the videos! Thanks very much!

  • "Although I don't drink my family has a history of alcoholism, do you think that there is a relationship between sugar addiction and alcohol addiction."

No I don't. Everyone that eats the typical US diet becomes addicted to sugar. It's just how the blood sugar, insulin reaction works.

  • Do you smoke? This could be why getting rid of the soda is harder for you. Smokers many times use coke or pepsi to make the throat feel better, since the bubbles and the soda formula kind of scratch the throat and it feels good. My dad used to love coke until he quit smoking. Then, coke wasn't so good anymore. Just a thought! :)

  • Sometimes after drinking fizzy drinks I get pains in around me stomach/pancreas area. Should I go for a diabetes test? I have a high sugar diet but never thought of checking with my doctor or anything because I'm young, and not obese or overweight, and do a lot of exercise.

Having that said, Aspartame is dangerous! It's 300 times sweeter than sugar! It was first developed as a biological weapon! Donald Rumself, in 1984, he approved this to be put into our fizzy drinks!

  • See video "Have a Sugar Addiction? About Obesity, Nutrition, Diabetes"

    and

"Fat Burning, Diet, Weight Loss & Sugar, Austin Wellness."

  • That pain is probably from stomach acid and you are probalby experiencing acid reflux; the caffeine in the soft drink relaxs the muscle that locks it out. You'll notice this most when you lay down to bed at night. Sugars also makes the body more acidic. Take an antacid tablet for immediate relief and see if that helps. If it does, its the soft drinks, specifically those loaded with caffeine, that is causing your problem. Stop drinking them, and your stomach acid problems will go away.

  • woah, she's nice..but im not watching this to judge that haha. yeah, i feel so much better without a sugar excessive diet. and the soft drinks were playing a large role in the sugar bonanza.

thanks alot finding these videos very useful recently. is there any withdrawel symptoms with sugar?

ps. add psychetruth on myspace they post aload of useful video bullitens!

  • Five days later - I managed it much easier than I thought.

I've started to feel better, rather than worse, since I stopped drinking them (only five days ago). This made it feel more of an improvement than a painful experience.

    Coincidence? All in my head?

  • I doubt it's in your head. You should experiance having more energy, being less hungry and might even start losing weight provided you didn't start eating candy to replace the loss of sugar consumption.

  • That's her job. She is a nutritionist.

  • I've been drinking about a litre a day for a fair few years now - some days nothing else - and never really thought it was bad for me because i've never been overweight.

**Hoping the next five days aren't too painful**

  • It's going to hurt...

We did a video today about how to beat sugar addiction. It will be out Monday or Tuesday or next week.

  • its worth it! I have had coke one day out of the last 15 days. (i get one a week) and i feel sooo much better now. I am looking forward to my weekly coke less and less every day!

  • Well done!

I personally think soft drinks are freaking disgusting now. I use to drink them all the time but now I can't stand a single gulp.

  • and my side effects for the first couple of days were that i felt really really sick, and i had a horrible headache, and i couldnt think about anything but coke. it was awful! I was drinking like 4 cans of coca cola a day or like a coke and then an xtra large from a fast food restaurant so, now my headaches are better... and i am gettin over it! i realized, coke doesnt love you back!!! lol :)

  • Keep going! Once you are through the withdrawal, you will feel much better and will probably find the idea of drinking soft drinks disgusting.

  • I am rolling into day five right now! I have also given up refined foods and sugars and enriched flour! I have lost 7 lbs in 3 days!

  • It's awesome!

  • Natalie is a heart breaker.

  • Here I go taking the five day challenge. Starting: 1/14/08.

  • That psychetruth begining scares me.... I like clinge on to something

  • Thanks...I wasn't aware of the sodium aspect. I am going to take the 5 day challenge.

  • My mother tought me this. Good information.

Hans - 50 years of age living in Stockholm, Sweden

  • im so bad, i drank like 3 and then didnt drink for aslong as i can,

  • I made it 5 days. Ugh. I'm going for a month and when I get there we'll where I'm at. Baby steps.

  • Natalie! Ô, que je t'aime, mon amour! :)

    Great video, as usual :)

  • Okay so its not healthy, but what if you want the energy? I have never had a 'low' after drinking coke :SS.

  • Good information. Also mention the problem with fruit juices... they are super concentrated with sugar, but people believe fruit juice is somehow "healthy". YOur body does not know the difference between coke and grape juice.

  • I have to disagree with you on that one. My body reacts completely differently to refined sugar and whole fruits or non-processed fruit juice. Do a search for "Sugar vs. Refined Carbohydrates" and read the article on Dr. Stoll's website. Interesting stuff.

  • I haven't touched a soft drink sense July 4th and have implemented a no pop lifestyle for my children as well. It has changed much for us. I could write a bunch but there is not enough room here, so I now plant the seeds of the "evil" soft drink in the minds of my family and friends with hopes they will challenge themselves to find alternatives.

  • Agreed, you can drink diet or regular, and you get 2 choices.

    Diet=Cancer

    Regular=Diabetes

  • Good Video! dont forget to mention diet-coke, aspartame will also cause insuline spikes! and therfore energylows and cravings

  • Very good vid

  • Most restaurants make it hard not to choose soft drinks. At the university you'll always see me with a coke, however I drink coke with the intention of being alert during tests, lectures, and studying. I drink plenty of water when I get home, however I find that water makes me go number 1 right after I drink it.

  • Think about it though: during the day you were drinking soda, then at home drinking water. Soda has a lot of caffeine, which eliminates water from the body. So, you drink the caffeine, then the water, so your body flushes it out.

Also, when I first switched to just water I went to the bathroom a lot to. It will balance itself out so you don't go so much, but in the beginning your body is cleaning itself out from all that soda!

It takes time and effort, but it's worth it. :-)

  • nice, this video should be played at schools.

  • I'm not addicted to soft drinks...I never drink them.

What I find hard to stop with is chips, chocolate, and candy (icecream)

I keep trying, and then I fail shortly after.

  • Well there's several issues that can be going on. Food cravings, improper digestion, emotional eating or a combo of these. Stop the cravings by picking 1 day out of the week that you can eat whatever you want. Make a deal with yourself that everytime you give in, you have to do 15 ab crunches or something similar. This will get you thinking differently about how food affects your body. Nutrition counseling and enzyme supplementation can help the other reasons.

  • diet drinks are not much better, but at least there is no sugar in them - weight watchers says that a diet drink has 0 points, while regular soda has an average of 3

  • More important than choosing foods for their calorie content, is choosing foods for health. The point system shouldn't be the avenue that people use to justify their poor food choices. Neither the coke nor the diet drink should be consumed...there are much better choices out there like Izze carbonated drinks.

  • lolz i just drink a can of pepsi before this video. i hope the facts mentioned was correct. Anyways its not hard for me to stop drinking them. we appritiate your time. thankx

  • Well. . .the answer to almost all of the questions you ask at the beginning of the vid is yes. psychetruth, I want to thank you again for what you are doing here on YT. I spend most of my time here on music. Which is great, but it's nice to balance that with some very useful info. Also, I'll thank you again for having pretty girls in your videos. ---------------- Yes, I'm that shallow.

  • David Letterman once had a guest who took soda pop and poured it into a baby bottle, which had no hole in the nipple. He then shook the bottle so as to make the carbonation and fluids seperate. It blew the nipple part up like a balloon, and there was only a small amount of liquid left in the bottom of the bottle.

  • Hi beautiful, I quit drinking soft drinks about 2 years ago its a bad habit just like smoking & drinking not healthy. Good video.

  • what about diet soft drinks...still really bad?

  • That's a whole another issue. We might do a video on artificial sweeteners soon. I personally won't touch any artificial sweetener w/ a 10 foot pole but that's me.

  • Hello I also would like to see coverage on artificial sweetners. I have been hearing alot of bad about them. Thanks and stay gorgeous.

  • mmmmm mmmmm natalie. she could tell me that i was ganna loose a leg in an opperation and it would still be soooo nice

  • Wow!

  • My Answer is YES!

  • Sage advice as ever! Thanks guys :-)

  • Shop the perimeter of a grocery store, stay out of the isles for the most part. This helps avoid ingesting many substances that food was never intended to have.

  • I meant HFCS. High Fructose Corn Syrup= evil. The scary thing is how everywhere this junk is. I remember growing up as a kid every time you go to your friend's house their parents would say "help yourself to the Coke in the fridge guys!" everytime a kid asks for a soda, a softdrink exec smiles and a school teacher cries.

  • If you go on a fast for 1-2 days, and dump a pepsi into your gullet. If you have any sensitivity at all. You will feel what it does to your body, your CNS, your mood, your thoughts, everything, within minutes. I did that around 10 years ago. I have been soft drink free ever since. It really is chemical crap. HCS+caffeine=poison

  • Quick question...

My family and I drink a lot of carbonated, flavoured water. It is sugar free but I am wondering if it counts towards keeping us hydrated.

  • Sorry for the voice sync. For some reason the YouTube conversion processes messes up the audio sync. Check out out LiveVideo account for a better version. Thanks for watching.
