  • Amazing landing, performed by a pro.

  • BRAVO PILOT !

  • Wow.... Awesome job.

  • Fantastic landing!!

I am sure that the pilot has many hours flown in gliders

  • It almost looked like the plane was hovering!

  • hell yes

  • Very nice indeed!

  • 6 cessna pilots died trying to land a plane in a hurricane

  • Done like a pro n,n

  • Only a true pilot can Air-Drift

  • WOW, PERFECTLY EXECUTED!!!!

  • Fabulous!! Personally I enjoy watching British Airways pilots the most. I believe they're the best I've personally seen. They make landing seem effortless, graceful and easy.

  • skills

  • I would take the Lamorghini instead of the plane

  • FUCK hes amazzingg

  • Trouble? Shit he nailed that one.

  • Trouble landing ? That was genius !

  • respect thats a gooooooooood pilot !

  • Sexy bit of landing that was. Hats of to the pilot.

  • six morons were waiting for crash.

  • lets talk about the pilot's skill over here

  • Amazing landing! A perfect pilot with these windy conditions.

  • Total pro pilot!!

  • That was beautiful. Truly beautiful.

When you're in the air you're at the mercy of the air, on the ground, at the mercy of your tires. There was nothing unusual about that in air movement, just a very turbulent day.

  • are you kidding me....thank you for flying brown stain airlines!!!! can you say great job mr pilot!

  • Impressive!!

  • That's an average day in O'Hare.

  • HE IS MY GOD

  • @MrTutorialKnowsBest - seriously, the landing was perfect touchdown. it's the weather that was not perfect, and believe me it would have been fucking crazy scary if it crashed on the runway ;)

  • Jeez that guy can fly for me any day.

  • awesome :))

  • exactly...WOW!

  • wow

  • Didn't look like he any trouble to me, that was a perfect crosswind landing, probably a heck of alot better than I could do!

  • This is Leeds Bradford airport, Flybe ERJ-145.

  • I'd like to see someone do better then that, excellent job pilot!!

  • hihì_äÑÿ_güýs_wänt_tO_chât_wIth_mÉ

  • kudos

  • Why was this at the news?

  • @bruno84 I think this footage explains itself for being in the news. The pilots of this aircraft pulled off an extraordinary piece of airmanship by landing safely in what appears to be borderline weather conditions.

  • Very nice.

  • They should show that landing to student pilots!

  • very nice ! good pilot

  • skilled pilot! you're the man!

  • thats the real pilot

  • pro

  • FUCKING GREAT MAN !!!!

  • Nice slip , nasty conditions , right down center line . Perfect . Superb ... Dry cleaners required for passengers .....

  • small plane + big wind = vomit.

  • amazing job!

  • why didnt he landed with flaps up, wasn't enough long of a runway?

  • @yellowcub86 aircraft always land with flaps down... they help the wings generate more lift and allow the aircraft to be controllable at slower speeds

  • @yellowcub86 Clean speed would be 200kt+ so landing clean is not an option. There's a myth that landing with less (or no) flap helps in a crosswind. It is however, just a myth and doesn't translate into reality. Operating anything from a jet to a single engine light aircraft in a strong crosswind I'd take full flap every time-unless the Pilot's Operating Handbook/SOPs say otherwise.

  • @Cat10980 wrong re-learn wing area loading

  • @yellowcub86 Well I'm no aerodynamics buff and it's a good long while since I did my commercial writtens! All I know is for the types I've operated use of normal landing flap setting is the recommended and so that's exactly what I do. The important thing in any crosswind is to get down and stay down and the recommended technique (by the POH or TRI) gives you the best chance of doing just that.

  • @Cat10980 i know im just pulling your chain man :)

  • @Cat10980 Fair enough-you had me looking for my books there thinking I'd missed something! There has been a long debate about the benefits/drawbacks of more/less flap in crosswinds and I don't think I've ever seen a totally convincing answer. For small offsets (up to say 30 degrees off centreline) there is no (or very little) crosswind component until the flare anyway-the aircraft just weathercocks in to wind! You're right though-I need to do some reading! ;)

  • AWESOME PILOT MAN!!! JUST FANTASTIK!!!

  • that guy must have had supper in the oven and was like noooo i cant die i have supper in the oven my wife made me supper in the OVEnNOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO SUPER IN THE OVEN

  • HOLY CRAP, THAT WAS A GODDAMN EPIC JOB BY THE PILOT!

  • Even a caveman could do that.

  • WOW !

  • nice

  • It's not luck...I bet he's a former air force pilot or he has many years of experience...

  • Pilots are true heroes if you ask me. Thanks for posting.

  • Where is the guy who talk about Chuck Norris flying that plane

  • Thats how i fly on FSX

  • He was commited to land! Not even a piece of go-around in his head1 beauuuuuutifull

  • text book example of situational awareness...professionalism take to the square root! All inputs made were Prefect. He had just make me, still think that there are great minds around the world!

  • Really amazing.

  • Holy cow!!! That pilot can fly me anytime! That was amazing and he still put her down just over the threshold and right smack bang in the middle of the strip. Well done!

  • Excelente aproximación a la pista con viento cruzado, felicitaciones al Piloto por esa maniobra.

  • Excellent

  • Excelent

  • Fucking perfect.Crabbed her in centerline and yawed parallel to the direction of travel at just the right time.Beautiful.

  • He kinda smashed it but I mean its good regarding the conditions.

  • @999lifegoes

kinda? what would have been perfect for you?

  • LOL he's coming in like oh shit then it was a touchdown like nothing happened

  • Excellent !!! Very Brave and skilled Pilot.....

  • Esse ai nasceu para voar!

    Parabéns!

  • Perfect landing.

  • His wind correction angle is like 30 degrees... amazing

  • very nice landing

  • Amazing bit of flying. That's true stick-and-rudder skill right there. We need more guys like him flying our planes, not computers.

  • @wun1gee how do you know that hes a man?

  • @MrJackdaniel17 cos he parked it to..

  • fantastic... in such bad conditions. Kudos, big time. Well done that pilot....

  • Most spectacular landing I have seen (even better than Scully on the Hudson) ... this pilot can make music seem silly. Nice going guy!

  • The most perfect landing I've ever seen. Very nice ruddercorrection at about 12 feet from touchdown!

  • Trouble landing? That was perfect given the conditions

  • Its is such a remarkable landing and approach, he made things easy! that is the way instructors teach us to land in crosswinds since flight nº1!!!

  • mad props to the pilot !!

  • what a pilot, perfect landing^^

  • nice landing

  • Great work by the pilot and camera operator...

  • nice STOL too haha! but anyway, that was amazing

  • Anyone who's not a pilot can talk and say lot of things of this landing. Good or bad job?

STD operation. That's why the airplanes are so safe, we don't try to make a good or bad work, just standard.

  • gud pilot

  • good skill !

  • I know nothing about flying but it looked like a perfect landing given the conditions.

  • @mzelek75 seriously that was not a perfect landing imagine being in that plane it would be fucking crazy scarey

  • If you want a definition of timing forget the dictionaries. Just take a look at that right rudder input right before touch down ;)

  • WOW that was awesome... excellent pilot, a masterpiece landing!!!

  • Beautifully executed cross wind landing. The pilot kicked off the severe drift with corrective rudder at the right moment. Outstanding work.

  • that takes talent!

  • My new ch never has stuff like this. :(

  • That landing was nailed. I bet there were hi 5's in the cockpit for that one!

  • kinda like a pro driver tapping the brake at just the right moment before a turn.

  • oh my god......wht the heck ?????.....i'm completely blown off by this video......grt job......was there a problem with the nose gear ?????....it looked like that to me as if the nose gear was not locked properly..

  • the PILOTS DID A very very very GOOD JOB MANN EXELLENT

  • eww nasty, great landing at the end tho!!

  • nice landing?

  • UNBELIEVABLE!! That is the model of how to land in heavy x-wind conditions!

  • very good pilot!

  • Very nice job

  • what a job! wow! great pilot!

  • to be honest I actually thought it was going to crash at 0:10 but the pilot did such a good job of landing the plan

  • Now that was one hell of a landing....

  • omg, he's so pro

  • Wow, what an awesome, soft landing!

  • thats stunning!! good job!

  • very skillful flying

  • Very skilfull pilot...

  • A splendid landing

  • A splendid landing

  • amazing landing, very skillful!!

  • Leeds is near to me heh. This plane is embraer, isn't it?

  • yeh looks like the BA Embraer E145's when they used to fly them.

  • Big skill on an ugly approach!!!

  • Yikes! That's a serious crosswind, but an excellent landing!!

    Yo!

  • Excellent landing!

  • best damn Crosswind land i have yet to see on youtube. textbook!

  • are airport is too high up and should be moved to the south of Leeds. it happens all the time.

  • @MrJascol stfu knobhead Yeadon isnt too high up your talking shit and where in South Leeds would you put it . . . . because there is nowhere to the South of Leeds where you could put this . . .

  • @StolenMonkey Yeadon is the worst place for the airport the best place would be to the south of the city, the m1 and m62motoways are to the south of the city, the airport be easyer to get too unlike traveling up little roads to get to LBA, and the south of the city is much flatter then up here on the hill. the only reason they still use it is because it was an airbase for the RAF.

  • @StolenMonkey and watch your mouth, you come across as a total headbanger with not a ounce of sence.

  • listen mr shitforbrains there is NOWHERE in South Leeds that can take an airport better to upgrade the current links to LBA rather than putting a new Airport in a piece of land that has no room . . . . where do you want to put it ???????????????? . . .The fact is if they stopped coming into land via Otley Chevin they wouldnt even get that crosswind on landing . . . i have more sence [sic] in my arse than you

  • @StolenMonkey there is loads of areas i can even show you where you could put it if you have msn

  • i LIVE in South Leeds i could show you out my fucking window there is nowhere to put an Airport

  • @StolenMonkey you don't understand where i mean add me on msn

  • eventhough in the first part it seems to be unstable, showing us the true difficult situation the pilot was into.. He manages to ¨feel¨ the crosswind at the end and line up to a perfect touch down.. Hats off for the skillful and professional pilot of the video, Amazing landing!!!

  • Good Landing

  • he greased it. What a job!! I would have ended up with the nose gear in the cockpit.

  • professionals:) great:)

  • Embraer ERJ-145

  • Great skill!

  • EXCELLENT JOB, PERFECT...

  • @AtlantisB737 I agree magnificent technique

  • Could he not land any creamier than that? This pilot is hot! Perfection!

Oh, the jet looks like a Gulfstream.

  • I only fly gliders, but I have been cought in crosswind landing situations many times. THIS pilot did a textbook example of excellence in the situation. Everything as correct, skillful, and professional. I take my hat off to him.

  • @gilbert20 You're not wearing a hat

  • @gilbert20 he put the jet a slide right?....

  • @anthonybarrett79 Yes. To be entirely accurate, it is actually called a "slip."

  • @gilbert20 yes slip cheers

  • @gilbert20

I'm a pilot and I concur with what you said. Kudos to the pilot. Amazing landing.

  • The pilot is a master.

  • looks more like an Embraer Regional Jet, not the MD-83...

  • One of the best landings I have ever seen. Bravo!

  • nice LANDING!

  • very smooth

  • thats my local airport ! i saw that on the news

  • amazing skill

  • 1 word: SKILL

  • BRAVO !!!!!!

  • the pilot does EVRYTHING right

  • That was a beautiful landing. right out of the book for a crosswind landing. great job pilot.

  • Aidosa pilot... Great Worl
