  • how do you get the film to digital?

  • @photowill0523 hey man thanks for watching the video .. its super old, so these days - if i need to shoot medium format - i rent a digital back. back when i shot this video, i was still a photography student (actually, it was a BA in visual and motion design).. but anyway, through school, I had access to several scanning possibilities, including a Nikon medium format scanner .. i think it was the Coolscan 9000. depending where you live, you might be able to find a lab that does it for you though

  • @mmuellerphotography like i know that in nyny theres one around 23rd and 5th

  • @photowill0523 you can scan them

  • how do you get the film to digital?

  • Hi.

Can you explain me how you triggered the Pocketwizards with the Mamiya...

Thx and really nice video by the way! ;)

  • @stayinert hey thanks for the comment :) well the mamiya has a pc chord jack (watch 0:30, you can see it its on the right side of the lens), that can be attached to a PW to trigger it. but i switched to chord halfway through the shoot, because my PW batteries were dead (which happens like once a year lol)

  • What flash set-up did you use?

  • @Damour5H hey man :) thanks for your comment. As you can see in the final shots, the flash light is way overpowering the ambient light. i was using a bowens with a softbox for the main light and then for the kickers (some shots had one, some had two), i used little speedlights about 1-1.5 stops higher than the main light.

  • Hey man, thanks i appreciate it and im glad you like it. I love that camera and personally i shoot with a 90 or the 110 depending on the occasion. The 180 might Be actually a little Long for you if you wanna do journalistic stuff.. Also you have to realize that it is also more of an amateur / lover Thing, if you want to make Money with (like i do) Fashion photography, then Digital is your Best Bet. As much ad i Love the mamiya, i Never use it for Jobs.

  • nice!

  • glad you like it buddy :)

  • i watched preatty much all of your video and they are great. I am thinking of getting a mamiya rb67, because i only have a digital D90 and the quality of the image is never even close to the analogic camera. I am an amateur photographer, would be ok if i get it with a 180mm lense for shooting people like you do and for sort of travel/photojournalism type of photography? Or i should get another lense...i am tight on badget. Thanks
