I don't know why but Rose is definitely my fave companion since Dr Who was brought back in 2005. Maybe it's just cause she was the first companion of the new Dr Who or maybe it's because unlike the others we saw real character growth with her.
None of the companions since have fit with the Doctor as well as she does, although Amy and River come close.
Never liked Billie Piper, or her character Rose. I would love to see Donna or Martha come back, though. I would also LOVE for Capt. Jack to come back. Freaking LOVED him!

Rose did also appear.. It was really funny though, I can't excactly remember what happened but he was like; Oh no I'm diyng don't make me emotional(!).
When he was dying and the people started to appear first it was himself and he said : " No give me someone I like!"
then it showed Rose and he said something like "Guilt!" Then it showed Martha and he's like "Guilt!!" and then it showed Donna and he said "MOre guilt!!!"
I accept that any of the original characters are not likely to return, but with the whole title re-design, the new themes, less of the daleks and cybermen and practically no reference to anything from previous series, Doctor Who is changing too much. There's just no continuity from the specials to season 5.
@Rose99991000 I agree, they changed to much to fast, and they changed it just for the sake of change, the change from 10th to 11th was monumental and shakey enough as is, it would have went smoother if they didnt make all thoose changes
People, don't mean to disappoint you, but this interview was posted in 2007 (which was almost 4 years ago), and if you remember she did return in the end of season 4. :P
Anything is possible. With the whole universe rebooting, and alot of crap from the past thus getting reset/rewritten, the show is left open to bring back Rose, Jack, anyone. The whole River Song thing will have awhile to play out among other things, and daleks/cybermen are retired atm. However, who knows what will come back. Example: they brought back Sarah Jane for awhile.
Billie Piper's not returning. She said so. None of the Tenth Doctor's companions will except obviously River Song and maybe POSSIBLY jack, since Moffat created him and he's in Torchwood and whatnot which is still continuing :L
@Mellismeister89 Moffat didn't create Jack, RTD did, Moffat was just the first person to write with him. But it does seem that if Moffat didn't create the character or write with them, then they have no place in his series.
Actually Moffat said that he was planning to give jack a part in A Good Man Goes to War and further episodes
but he was to busy with miracle day. although jack did say he would love to be on the show again....and Moffat said that Jack will most likely be returning in the future
I think that while finding Melody or 'river' should i say, that he travels to Bad Wolf Bay as that is where she is and maybe just maybe he sees the human doctor and rose with their children happily married? that would be a nice to watch as i absolutly LOVE david tennent as well as Matt Smii think it would be brilliant if they wrote an episode like that!!!!

I wish they'd given Rose a better ending. I didn't buy her settling for the other doctor. Maybe if they'd just left it as is when she left in the second season, but then we wouldn't have got that great scene when they were running towards each other in their reunion. I don't know, everytime Rose looks at the other doctor she's going to be reminded of him, I don't think the relationship would work out if it were real life. :/
I doubt Rose will ever comeback. Her story is finished and I think Stephen is more interested in finishing River's story and then we move on but maybe Jack Harkness will return seeing as he was created by Stephen (I think) but the chances of seeing Rose again are VERY low.

@MBGamingLegends This was from 2007, before River, and Matt Smith, and everyone else in the current series... Rose did return several times during the David Tenant years, where her story was concluded...

@LanceDirk I totally agree! Doctor Who feels a lot more lighthearted now. I don't think the dramatic characters of the past would mesh well with the whimsical nature of the current show.
@LanceDirk yeah, at the end of the last special with tennant, it seems like he said goodbye to all of his old characters, even sarah jane smith (rip elizabeth sladen). the one thing i don't care for about the entirely new look of the show is that none of the doctor's recent past is included. and he never once mentions rose or is even seen missing her.

@MBGamingLegends nah, Jack is a RTD character. Moffat may have written the first episode he appeared in but RTD has done way more with him and most questions about the character are put to him.

@Twilightfinaticgal I'm a bit of a sap, and over-emotional, and I've been known to cry at things which are only slightly sad. But during Doomsday, I wasn't just crying, I was sobbing. I mean, I was crying pretty much as hard as Rose was. Perhaps even harder, I don't think I've ever cried that hard at something fictional before. :P I have yet to see JE, or The End of Time, but seeing as I've been told they're sad, I have no doubt I will be bawling my eyes out. :P But yes, they are adorable. :)

@themaster8902 Oh, I know. I know what his last words are because a friend told me (and it's hard to avoid spoilers on the internet) and I cried a little bit then. It's so sad! I'm going to be an emotional wreck during the End of Time, I just know it. It took we several weeks to stop crying when someone mentioned Doomsday, or when I saw a sad fanvid. :P So yeah, I'm well aware of the fact that I probably won't be able to say anything coherent while I sob during The End of Time and Journey's End.
Only to leave again! Come back,Rose! We miss you! Come back and stay for good! (And while you're at it bring back David Tennant while you're at it, preferably as the REAL Doctor, not the human one.)

I don't know about you all, but I liked Chris and Billie so much that when Chris left, I almost felt as bad as at the end of season 2. David was able to keep up a lot of chemistry with Billie, but I thought that was kind of done on that back of what Chris and Billie had built.
@LanceDirk I completely agree. They were so wonderful together and I really thought the "you were fantastic" scene was just as beautiful as the wall scene.
@LanceDirk they did work really well together. they had good chemestery, but at the same time it felt more "big brother looking after his little sister." david picked up what they had but made the romance more believable. chris's doctor was really fun but buisness like while david flirted a bit more and was more expressive in how he looked at her. i think chris is amazing but he seems more fit for action while david seems more romantic
I want to greatly agree with everyone that David and Billie were the best Doctor/Companion team and want to see them more, but I understand that changing Doctors and meeting new companions is the shows biggest theme. It shows how great of actors they are though.

Martha was a mixture of the golden trio from Harry Potter in my eyes so she was my favorite companion. I do love all the other companions though even from the classic series. Alot of people just don't like Martha because they don't understand her or understand what RTD was trying to show us with her character. Well I understood it and I love Martha. What a fantastic companion. It doesn't hurt that she was like the Doctor either. I love that the Doctor and her were like teacher and student.

My favorite doctor was Eccleston. He had the most character, an why why why does this show make the drs change? and the assistants? I'm just into the 2nd season and it's given me a lot of questions. BTW I'm a cross american canadian just so you know, so me seeing Dr. Who is really just a random stumble upon. It's Sunday, and since friday I've watched the entire 1st season & half of the second. Ugh, I really do hate the gas mask zombies, they freak me out.
@simcityfan3 The show didnt make the Doctors change, Eccleston was exhausted by the heavy filming schedule and wanted to go - so they had to get a replacement. I;ve loved all the new doctors, all for different reasons, they each brought something dfferent to the role. AGree about the 'empty child' that one was pretty creepy for Dr Who lol.
@simcityfan3 Well, if the Doctor didn't regenerate, then, the show would have ended with the first doctor, correct? With the regeneration, the Doctor can live on, and the show can continue. As for changing the compainions, well, when the Doctor changes, so does his personality. And I guess if you travled along with a guy and then he changed, you would miss your old Doctor, right?
David Tennant could still do a one of episode. The 11th Dr at sometime may need to go to Petes world for some reason where he left the 10th Hybrid (human/timelord) and Rose.

@bosnianfighter95 To each his own. Every Dr has there own thing that makes them great. But I do Agree Tennant was a great dr. But Give Matt Smith A Chance. So Far I think he is great as a dr to. But in his own way. Despite Matt Smith being the youngest actor to ever play Dr Who. He brings this feeling of a wise old man in a young body.
I wish Billie Piper and David Tennant had never left. I loved Christopher Eccleston as the Doctor, and was first a bit hesitant about David Tennant, but now whenever somebody says 'the Doctor' I picture David Tennant. He was the perfect Doctor, and Rose was the perfect companion. And David and Billie worked together so nicely!! They had such great chemistry, and they're both fantastic actors. I wish they were still playing the Doctor and Rose.
@PigPenguin91 I feel the same way! I hated David Tennant at first, and now I can't bring myself to watch season 5 with Matt Smith because it means that I have to accept that David Tennant is gone. Which I refuse to do...haha.
@queenie5144 I never hated David Tennant, but during The Christmas Invasion I was missing Christopher Eccleston, and felt like he was the Doctor to me. But my opinion was soon changed. ^_^ Very quickly. I can't even bring myself to watch much of season 3, because I'm still depressed about Doomsday. And I'm not a big fan of Martha. I don't know what I'll do when both Biliie Piper and David Tennant are gone!
@PigPenguin91 Awww I don't like Martha either. I wanted Rose back...but Donna was very good and Rose's return was very well done. And even though both Billie Piper and David Tennant are gone, I know that I can always revisit them in reruns ;)
@queenie5144 I agree, Donna was amazing. And even though my fantasy will never come true (I want Rose and the Doctor as a couple, traveling with Jack and Donna) the show is still amazing, and there's always fanfiction to fix anything that's left out.
@queenie5144 I know! Wouldn't it be amazing? But fanfiction is an excellent cure for pretty much any problem, I read tons of it, and I even write a bit myself.
@PigPenguin91 It is...but I try to keep myself from really getting into it...TV takes up enough of my time as it is, since I'm an addict haha. So fanfics would just consume my life. And good for you writing it! I wish I was that creative.

@epicXdiamond I've yet to see season 4, but I loved Catherine Tate in 'The RUnaway Bride'. My main problem isn't with the new actors, it's that I'm a total sucker for romance, and the fact that the Doctor and Rose aren't together makes me feel depressed.

@Remoniq Of course, you are entitled to your own opinion, but I find it hard to believe that someone would think that about Rose. Rose was compassionate, bringing love back into the Doctor's life, and always finding a way to comfort and help, even when it was someone like Mme de Pompadour, who Rose was obviously jealous of. She was also smart and strong, helping the Doctor, and she really came into her own, becoming a great asset to the Doctor. Her beautiful romance with him only added to it.
@PigPenguin91 I think it would be great if rose and the meta crisis clone came back for at least one episode. that way we would have tennant, piper, and smith for at least one episode. and I also got a thought. what if the 11th doctor used the chameleon arc on himself and the meta crisis clone opened the watch. he might becomea tenth doctor with 11's personality.though I know that wouldn't happen, or at least not for long. but it would be cool to see tennant doing smith's doctor interpretation
@Arthus850 It would definitely be cool to see the meta-crises Doctor and Rose reappear! That would be awesome. I really want some acknowledgment in season 5 that Rose ever existed. I haven't seen it yet, but from what I've heard from friends, Stephen Moffat is making it seem like Rose never mattered to the Doctor, or that once he regenerated he forgot all about her, which I believe to be completely false. Your other idea sounds cool, too, though I don't know much about it. :P

@LanceDirk yeah, at the end of the last special with tennant, it seems like he said goodbye to all of his old characters, even sarah jane smith (rip elizabeth sladen). the one thing i don't care for about the entirely new look of the show is that none of the doctor's recent past is included. and he never once mentions rose or is even seen missing her.

@Twilightfinaticgal I'm a bit of a sap, and over-emotional, and I've been known to cry at things which are only slightly sad. But during Doomsday, I wasn't just crying, I was sobbing. I mean, I was crying pretty much as hard as Rose was. Perhaps even harder, I don't think I've ever cried that hard at something fictional before. :P I have yet to see JE, or The End of Time, but seeing as I've been told they're sad, I have no doubt I will be bawling my eyes out. :P But yes, they are adorable. :)

@themaster8902 Oh, I know. I know what his last words are because a friend told me (and it's hard to avoid spoilers on the internet) and I cried a little bit then. It's so sad! I'm going to be an emotional wreck during the End of Time, I just know it. It took we several weeks to stop crying when someone mentioned Doomsday, or when I saw a sad fanvid. :P So yeah, I'm well aware of the fact that I probably won't be able to say anything coherent while I sob during The End of Time and Journey's End.

I don't know about you all, but I liked Chris and Billie so much that when Chris left, I almost felt as bad as at the end of season 2. David was able to keep up a lot of chemistry with Billie, but I thought that was kind of done on that back of what Chris and Billie had built.

@LanceDirk they did work really well together. they had good chemestery, but at the same time it felt more "big brother looking after his little sister." david picked up what they had but made the romance more believable. chris's doctor was really fun but buisness like while david flirted a bit more and was more expressive in how he looked at her. i think chris is amazing but he seems more fit for action while david seems more romantic

I want to greatly agree with everyone that David and Billie were the best Doctor/Companion team and want to see them more, but I understand that changing Doctors and meeting new companions is the shows biggest theme. It shows how great of actors they are though.

Martha was a mixture of the golden trio from Harry Potter in my eyes so she was my favorite companion. I do love all the other companions though even from the classic series. Alot of people just don't like Martha because they don't understand her or understand what RTD was trying to show us with her character. Well I understood it and I love Martha. What a fantastic companion. It doesn't hurt that she was like the Doctor either. I love that the Doctor and her were like teacher and student.

My favorite doctor was Eccleston. He had the most character, an why why why does this show make the drs change? and the assistants? I'm just into the 2nd season and it's given me a lot of questions. BTW I'm a cross american canadian just so you know, so me seeing Dr. Who is really just a random stumble upon. It's Sunday, and since friday I've watched the entire 1st season & half of the second. Ugh, I really do hate the gas mask zombies, they freak me out.

@simcityfan3 The show didnt make the Doctors change, Eccleston was exhausted by the heavy filming schedule and wanted to go - so they had to get a replacement. I;ve loved all the new doctors, all for different reasons, they each brought something dfferent to the role. AGree about the 'empty child' that one was pretty creepy for Dr Who lol.

@simcityfan3 Well, if the Doctor didn't regenerate, then, the show would have ended with the first doctor, correct? With the regeneration, the Doctor can live on, and the show can continue. As for changing the compainions, well, when the Doctor changes, so does his personality. And I guess if you travled along with a guy and then he changed, you would miss your old Doctor, right?

I wish Billie Piper and David Tennant had never left. I loved Christopher Eccleston as the Doctor, and was first a bit hesitant about David Tennant, but now whenever somebody says 'the Doctor' I picture David Tennant. He was the perfect Doctor, and Rose was the perfect companion. And David and Billie worked together so nicely!! They had such great chemistry, and they're both fantastic actors. I wish they were still playing the Doctor and Rose.

@queenie5144 I never hated David Tennant, but during The Christmas Invasion I was missing Christopher Eccleston, and felt like he was the Doctor to me. But my opinion was soon changed. ^_^ Very quickly. I can't even bring myself to watch much of season 3, because I'm still depressed about Doomsday. And I'm not a big fan of Martha. I don't know what I'll do when both Biliie Piper and David Tennant are gone!

It's close between her and Donna, but Rose wins for me hands down because of her relationship with the Doctor, and just because of her. Rose was/is smart, she could save herself and the Doctor, she was.... just Rose. Best companions ever. I like CE, a lot, but DT will always be the Doctor to me.

@Remoniq Of course, you are entitled to your own opinion, but I find it hard to believe that someone would think that about Rose. Rose was compassionate, bringing love back into the Doctor's life, and always finding a way to comfort and help, even when it was someone like Mme de Pompadour, who Rose was obviously jealous of. She was also smart and strong, helping the Doctor, and she really came into her own, becoming a great asset to the Doctor. Her beautiful romance with him only added to it.

@PigPenguin91 I think it would be great if rose and the meta crisis clone came back for at least one episode. that way we would have tennant, piper, and smith for at least one episode. and I also got a thought. what if the 11th doctor used the chameleon arc on himself and the meta crisis clone opened the watch. he might becomea tenth doctor with 11's personality.though I know that wouldn't happen, or at least not for long. but it would be cool to see tennant doing smith's doctor interpretation

I haven't seen it yet, but from what I've heard from friends, Stephen Moffat is making it seem like Rose never mattered to the Doctor, or that once he regenerated he forgot all about her, which I believe to be completely false. Your other idea sounds cool, too, though I don't know much about it. :P
