First of all, Rivers is totally ROCKIN that sweater vest - pure awesomeness. Also, while I agree that he should get back on guitar, he isn't a bad frontman, just he is much more comfortable on an actually stage in some bar or horsetrack than in Hollywood on Television with a small, sitting, semi-enthusiastic crowd.

The riff seems to come straight from Neil Young's "Sleeps with Angels", I think? I also think I heard others say it's pretty much like Rilo Kiley's "The Moneymaker". I'm definitely not criticizing, but I basically looked this up after listening to it on Leno last night, since it sounded so very familiar. I was basically just wondering if it was inspired from Neil Young specifically, or if its origins go back even farther.
