I think Japanese don't have much confidence in their(our) culture,and they think the Western(orAmerican)culture is the best,So they don't respect

their own culture...

I think.But I respect it&love it.

I begane my kyudo in Paris on 1998 and received 初段/二段/三段 in European seminars with Japanese masters' examin

many kyudo players in Europe..that means you have to be confident of your culture..

Western cultures have their specialities : qualities and defects..so have the Eastern cultures

In my country-Taiwan..there are also many problems..but I am proud to be a Taiwanese + love my culture..

um i think Japaneses respect their culture because they keep many of their traditions like Geisha and Festivals and samurai fighting style witch they teach in schools. America barely has any culture because I've been living here for more then 10 years and we just celebrate the basic holidays.
