Shit speakers! DO NOT BUY THESE! The subwoofer driver is crap and does not provide low base at all, struggled to get below 50hz! they are also not very loud for the money that you pay for them. you could pick up some £30 speakers and almost get the same quality. problems with the drivers, and you can only use them when they're plugged into a pc! I have them and i lost my installation cd, now i cnt find any way to upload the software for them onto my pc!

Good feedback and experience, interesting commments...From what I understand you can always download the drivers for the speaker system directly from the Logitech support/download section of the website..hope that helps.

@TheElwall That isnt true. I have this system, and I can plug it into everything with a 3.5 mm jack, and it works great, only without the same surround effect.

Good point and question, I do not think you will find a louder 2.1 speaker system then this, its one of the best sounding systems you can get at its price range, they should be on sale now too...

Good question, I dont think you can mix a optical output tospin with a 3.5mm, need to stay consistent 3.5mm cable with 3.5mm jacks for input/output compatability, I may be wrong, try Logitech speaker tech support team online...

theres a tospin-3.5mm cable but im not sure if that 3.5mm matches the 3.5mm input from this speaker..

Yes they work with all versions of XP. Although if you have the Windows MCE (Media Center Edition) you will have more use of the remote.

they are not better then the Z5500's no 2.1 system is gonna make surround sound like a 5.1 system. But yes the remote is way cooler
