ok lets do some math.....

you dont even hit peak torque untill 7K and at 7K you are trickling out 142 ft/lbs.

REDLINING at 8500 and peak HP(210hp) at 7800

(210hp x 5252rpm) / 7800rpm = 141 ft/lbs

that means you hold max TQ of 141/142 ft/lbs (no higher and this is on the S-trim mind you) and youonly have it for about 800 rpms.

i hit peak(181ft/lbs) at 3200 rpms and it drags out for 3300 rpms untill it hits a minimum at the rev limiter.that minmum which is less than 1 ft/lbs less than your maxout

Actually peak torque comes in at about 6K...redline is at 7900 for my year and 8100 for 05-06. The rsx's torque curve is within about 10 ft/lbs of its peak torque from 3K to redline.

thats because torque and hp are directly proportional. meaning that there is a multiplier invlolved with the two and you produce torque sooooooo late that there is just too narrow of an rpm window to compensate.

your honda K series = less torque ALL across the board

All I said was that your motor loses a lot of it's torque in a small amount of time and mine doesnt. When you say "less torque ALL across the board " are you comparing your engine to mine? I'm pretty sure I have more torque than you after 6.5K....my "board" is much bigger than yours.

Lets see here...you have a 6 cylinder engine producing 180fl/lbs of torque and no more than 170hp with a 6500 rev limiter and you have to shift it at 4.5K for max acceleration....I hate to break it to you but your car would be a lot faster with my 4 cylinder in it producing 140fl/lbs of torque. I'm sure you can figure out why. Now let that sink in for a bit before you make another comment about the shitty honda k series.

and only being 10tq of peak at 2900 is only because your peak tq is sooooo little and you have no range.....which is understandable because youre driving a honda

I would hope that a 6 cyl. could produce more torque than a 4. No range? 0 to 140 is a range as is 0 to 180. And you lose 4 times more force than me in a shorter amount of revs.

Find me another n/a 4 cylinder that has a broader torque curve than the K20 and report back.

i hit about 180 ft/lbs at around 3200 and it doesnt drop below 160 till right before 6000......thats more torque across the entire rpm band
