REDLINING at 8500 and peak HP(210hp) at 7800
(210hp x 5252rpm) / 7800rpm = 141 ft/lbs
that means you hold max TQ of 141/142 ft/lbs (no higher and this is on the S-trim mind you) and youonly have it for about 800 rpms.
i hit peak(181ft/lbs) at 3200 rpms and it drags out for 3300 rpms untill it hits a minimum at the rev limiter.that minmum which is less than 1 ft/lbs less than your maxout
Actually peak torque comes in at about 6K...redline is at 7900 for my year and 8100 for 05-06. The rsx's torque curve is within about 10 ft/lbs of its peak torque from 3K to redline.
thats because torque and hp are directly proportional. meaning that there is a multiplier invlolved with the two and you produce torque sooooooo late that there is just too narrow of an rpm window to compensate.

Find me another n/a 4 cylinder that has a broader torque curve than the K20 and report back.

i hit about 180 ft/lbs at around 3200 and it doesnt drop below 160 till right before 6000......thats more torque across the entire rpm band
