  • Cause Im drunk todaayyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyy and Im seldom sober.

  • Still today, after what seems like a lifetime away, I can't listen to this love song without tearing up! For as I've heard it said, "you may leave, but ya' never will!" TRUE, and drunk for sure, for my feet have never really been planted, if y' know what I mean?

Best memory was climbing the castle walls; wholly shite, to think of it now! Back then it was great, for everywhere, everyone knew me, or of me; if y' know what I mean? Too fuckin bad though, for the best became the exports! Cry as I

  • I can't believe how many people on You Tube destroyed this song. Without a doubt, this version and the Clancy bros. version wipes out all the others.

  • I was introduced to this song by friend of mine, Steve Brown.. around 25 years ago ..who at the time played in a pub in Oslo.. ...and it sounded very much like this version without the band... He was alone with his guitar...and i loved it from the first time i heard it... It's a beautyful song..Thank you.. :)

  • I did a BASC show in the castle grounds at Carrickfergus about 2006 I think it was, dressed like a faery giving out 3 wishes and sprinkling faery dust over everyone.... Great fun and memories of a very special faery helper called Beth...!

  • Great singer. Great song. Thanks for putting it up.
